If he signs for Ipswich he'll be a massive success. It should also prove to us that it really isn't all about the money with him, but I think some fans will still hate him.
When you say some do you mean 99.9 % ? Might sound a bit harsh but if he snapped his knee in two on his first game for his next team I wouldn't have a scrap of sympathy .
This is the attitude I meant. It's never worked out for him here from the off, for a ridiculously long list of reasons, but I don't see why we all have to think he's a twat because of that. I'm not saying I love him but all this hatred is a bit unnecessary, and it's going to come back to haunt us when he takes us apart next time we play them.
He's been exactly that everywhere but here, and he obviously has the talent. He's head and shoulders above the rest of this league and he will continue ripping it up like he was at Ipswich on loan.
Hope he gets to play half a dozen games, saying that Jewell lets him do whatever he wants so might be able to put up and armchair and take it easy
even if Bullard signs for say, a likely £15,000p/w he is still entitled to claim the remainder of what he earns at City (say £30,000p/w) if he can prove unfair or constructive dismissal . I think that right isnt it ??
Gonna be intersting to see what reception he gets when he cme here in March (if he's not injured of course!). I honestly expected him to end up at DQPR, Blackburn as i thought Jimmy may fancy another crack at the Premier League. Good luck with him Ipswich!
Take your point Percy, but ask yourself why, if the various reported Premiership teams are interested, Jimmy has decided to go to the currently less than successful Ipswich? Hazard a guess that the Premiership sides are either more thorough in the checks or are only offering a pay as you play deal. Jimmy is good, no doubt about that, trouble is he is fragile and trouble. So none of the big boys want to take a chance. This is not new. Check out what Fulham said when he came to us. I put it down as sour grapes at the time, but if you now look at the more intelligent posters it is obvious they knew something we have found out!
I don't think so, no. Unfair dismissal awards are made up of 2 elements - basic award and compensation award. The basic award is calculated the same as a redundancy payment. The last figures that saw was that the maximum amount of a basic award is £11,400 (which he wouldn't get due to his length of service). The basic award is liable to reduction for, amongst other things, contributory fault. The maximum amount for the compensation award is £65,300 (although it may have gone up). He could only claim what he would have earned in High Court proceedings for breach of contract.
This would have nothing to do with employment law, he's been sacked for breach of contract, if he wants to take any action, it would be a high court action to dispute that there was a breach.
So when do you leave then Percy ? Time to follow your hero down to Suffolk. Good riddence to you both.
well they already have Delaney and Bowyer, judging by there effort @ Peterboro they need Far more than Bullard.
Doubt he will get the chance. First time on the ball hope someone will come in with both feet and snap his leg. Job done. i would if i was playing. Bullard is to football what Ian Huntly is to child care.
