Technically under var he’s offaide. But it’s inches so can’t blame Lino for not giving it. But var would have given it offside because part of his body was beyond the last man

Even if he was Offside the foul by VvD would be penalised - the Law covers that explicitly - see my post above.

If we didn't have Salah we wouldn't be as good
If we were playing away from Anfield we wouldn't be as good
If we were Plymouth Argyle we wouldn't be as good

Got to be one of the crappest arguments I have ever heard

Whatever happened to the "offside is offside" idea? Not always fair, but a damn sight easier to judge than the current system and removes a large amount of the subjectivity.

Another point - what is meant by "deliberate" in this context? Say Lovren takes a swing at the ball and just gets a bit on it, it rolls through to the keeper who picks it up. Is that a deliberate back pass? I doubt that it would be given in the case of a clear mis-hit.
Imo, Kane benefits from being in an offside position, and that is surely what the rule is meant to prevent.

Look spurs were easily worth a point if kane could stay on side at all. how many time was he caught offside from frees?

For me kane was offside. ref was told clearly by linesman he was and was asked about touch. ref ignored it and was giving it no matter what. Thats poor.

For me Lamela was a clear pen, for the linesmans view

For me the spurs chump on 606 after the game who said salh's was more off side but given was a joke.

    I agree on GK BTW.

He's is so bad a couple of very routine saves are lauded. simple like throw your hat on it stops any competent keeper should get and hold (and he did) are somehow a good performance. His punching all game was quite weak and he ****ed up a bit

My view is his kicks are ****e. He's aimless at times and worse he plays it into bad areas where spurs could start attacks right off from. I KNOW having seen the team drill pre games we work on this stuff. we try to find full backs etc from keeper but when in game it all goes out the window.

I also agree on Chelsea, they've had the same January we had last year when the games and injuries have piled up.

Spurs and Chelsea and us for two spots. Arsenal i don't think can catch all 3 clubs but they have been seriously strengthened up top.

The bench you mentions was shown up very starkly.

When we needed something we put on ox at LW who then never played there killing any press hopes and opening our left side to their attacks. we put on wijnaludm hwo did absolutely nothing as a CM.

Klopp had nothing left except matip and that shows WHY we needed to buy and have ****ed ourselves really.

The gobshite is still living in the Fergie years and imagines Utd's current status is of a similar standard.

Whilst we have dipped since Fergies retirement, we've still won 3 Cups, which is 3 Cups more than Liverpool in the same period <laugh>

Deliberately touching the ball is clearly different from deliberately passing it to someone. But otherwise I agree with your post. It seems very odd that the current Law explicity says that Kane shouldn't be penalised in this situation.

He didn't score from the 1st penalty that you are all moaning about anyways.

Yet somehow the award of a penalty that he didn't even score from, is the reason you didn't win <laugh>

And what?, Utd have been nowhere near the title or the CL since he retired, the cups you mentioned aren't what Fergie considered important, but it was funny as **** last season listening to Mourinho claim Utd had won a treble(including the community shield)and you dopes lapping it up like it was true.<laugh>

to be honest, the refs blow up 99% of the time. You see it when the balls crossed in and the defenders clear it etc etc.

Happens all the time if the attacker is offside for a ball that is deflected into their way from defending team (if the defending team hadn't deliberately played it that way ala dier).

Oh well just count your lucky stars you got the rub of the green (or maybe not it didn't lead to anything)

actually spurs would have won imo if kane had taken that first pen properly.

We score and then they equalise again.

they should have won but he was bloody awful all game TBH. If anyhting salah hasn't been given the credit for two brilliant individual goals.
