It depends what you mean by entertaining football? I don't think 2 teams need to play like Barcelona to have an entertaining game. A game high in drama is what usually makes an entertaining game. I've seen plenty of entertaining 1-0s for example.

Yesterday's game was definitely facinating, I don't disagree.

But as far as both sides style of play yesterday, Tottenham where the side who where actually playing football, and Liverpool where doing what you lot constantly criticise our manager for. Parking the bus and hoping to cling on to your 1-0 advantage.

I do think it was somewhat forced upon you, as once Spurs settled into the hostile away atmosphere at Anfield, they proved what a good side they are. It's difficult to attack if you can't get the ball off them.

We are always told that Klopp and Liverpool play this great attacking brand of football, but it was quite clear to me yesterday, and in your previous game at Wembley that Spurs play that brand of football a lot better than you do.

The sale of Coutinho has made that gulf in class between your 2 sides even greater, if he'd of been on the field yesterday, it would have definitely helped, and taken some of the pressure off your defence, as the ball was just continually coming back at them, so it was only really a matter of time before they cracked.

To be fair they did do the same to us, but then again the way Mourinho sets us up, we dont really try to outplay the opposition. In Liverpools case though, Klopp would have wanted you to control the game, but your players simply aren't good enough to outplay Spurs.

 

So on current evidence neither are yours?

As far as us playing deep goes it's a legitimate tactic that we employ on occasion where we can counter attack a team but Spurs simply defended that well. We don't go into every game like that though and do play good football, might not have been at our best yesterday but that's life we'll take the point and move on.

The funny side of yourself and to a lesser degree Diego is that you can see no good in what we do and focus totally on the bad, that's fine for a bit of banter but when you look at the negative only you start to piss people off Liehber and Bobby D come on here a lot and take the piss but they also call it fairly (to a point). If you want to talk footy on here you need a balanced opinion.

You are definately lacking behind us in terms of quality. That's why we've got 2 trophies sat in our cabinet, and you've won **** all for well over 5 years now

 

2nd half we were **** no arguing with that but it’s not a technical ability thing as we showed in first half that we can out play them with the ball and keep it. We just looked knackered for some reason, whether it was a tactic to sit back and try soak up all that pressure who knows but it didn’t work and we helped spurs out.

Disagree about the first teams. Think it’s very tight.

Based on this season and of those available yesterday that would be the mixed team. Both lack something in midfield but fact is without Kane their next top scorer has barely anything while Salah matches him, Firm is also up there as well. He’s easily a better player than Ali.

I've literally only seen you play like that one other time at Anfield this season, and that was for the last 20mins against City, I've never seen you do it for a whole half. That was never the game plan to play that way, you where clearly forced into it by a team that are better on the ball than you are.

I don't even for 1 minute doubt Spurs play better football than us, and did the same to us. I always call it how I see it. You lot just can't accept that Spurs play better football than you do.

I give criticism to my team and our players just as bad as I give it to you lot. There's no bias from me.

I think we started to play that way and then realised it wasn't working but couldn't then change the mentality and that was all down to the pressure from Spurs. Spurs played better football than us yesterday that's not in question at times during the season we play better footy than Spurs.

 

Exactly! The lino saw it was offside IF Lovren didn't touch the ball. The ref didnt know if Lovren hsd touched the ball; aka HE HADN'T SEEN LOVREN TOUCH THE BALL!
