It's a lot more rabid on here than on our match thread despite two Utd clowns trying to stir. Incident wise a lot of neutrals telling me Kane dived but I didn't get that at full speed. 2nd one didn't look like a pen real time but I've seen a replay and it was.

Spurs have spent much of my lifetime frequently trying to defend one goal leads, that's why I have blood pressure issues, there's nothing worse for one's health. I know exactly how you guys are feeling.

In the first half we tried to play our usual tippy-tappy one-touch 'play it out from defence' game, which clearly allowed you to press us and force errors. Furthermore, you mixed it a bit with quite a few longer balls, which turned us, which is the way to play against us. Klopp had done his homework rather well.

In the second half, we mixed it a bit like you did in the first and it paid off. Hopefully Poch has learnt from that for the future. We may have actually gained more than 3 points in the bigger picture. As an engineer I learn something new every day, I'm sure it is the same for football managers, one is never too old to learn.

Both systems are valid, the play it out from the back stuff, aka total football, is prettier when it works, but when pressed it can cause issues. I wouldn't blame your tactics. Against a team like Manure, who nowadays give up when it things are going against them, your tactics would have been spot on. However, there is a belief in the current Spurs side and more often than not, we no longer accept being beaten lightly, a bit like the Manure Fergie sides or your Bob Shankly sides of old.

It's good to be a Spurs fan nowadays, except when we are one nil up with 20 minutes to go, most of us still remember the old days and suffer accordingly (as RCL's cat will testify).

Anyway, an exciting match, with honours shared. Both sides can be proud of their performances. And it's great to see Salah doing so well, particularly as the Chavs sacked him off without giving him a proper chance<laugh>

  3. Less rabid here, more ROFL! <laugh>
    (No offence meant)

But through it all, I think virtually every poster on here:
    - Thought a draw a fair result.
    - Were pleased with the teams overall performance
    - Pleasantly surprised at the neutrality of the officials and
    - think Dele is a prat who isn't helping himself or the club!

CL qualification will go to the wire - and personally hope it's us, you and Utd in that order <cheers>

It would have been even better if they'd ended up with Carroll, or am I being greedy?

    It's all about perspective.
I visited Liverpool's thread last night and it was all about how Kane was offside and dived and how Lamella dived and was barely touched and VVD withdrew his leg etc.Critical of the officials. Claiming we should have had players sent off. Someone wrote that Kane should have seen red- two yellows for elbowing Karius and diving.

  9. We're calm, Luvvy.

We're simply laughing at Klopp going full-on spazmoidal at the end of the game, mate.

As much as that is funny I personally love it, he loves the game and gets caught up in it all nothing wrong with that.

Talking of perspective. Our first penalty saw Kane offside so should not have been given, but we missed it anyway so it didn't effect the game, so waste of breath discussing it. Wanjama's goal was brilliant Liverpools first was good following Dier's mistake. Sala's second goal should have been ruled offside as he was when he received it. Lamela was kicked in the back in the penalty area that's a penalty.
Final score should have been 2 - 1 to Spurs but it wasn't and that's football. Liverpool bossed the first half we bossed the second a draw was a fair result.

Nothing like an upset German. They are the funniest thing in creation.

First time that I went to India, my mate and his girlfriend took me and Mrs B out to a 15th Century fort in the middle of ****ing nowhere that had become a luxury hotel. One small problem, that my mate discovered on a previous trip, the proprietors were Muslim. So, no beer, wine, rum - nothing. However, you could bring your own and they were fine with it, put it in the fridge, served it etc. We bought so much beer, wine and rum that we had to make 2 booze laden trips to the kitchens with it all. We stayed just the 2 nights.

So, that night we're drinking ice cold Kingfisher Export like it's the last night on earth, Cheers........In come the Germans. "Ve vould like zum beer." The waiter explains that it's a dry house. The lead German went full Klopp...."Zey haff beer....why do zey haff beer?.....Ve vant beer also" 10 minutes later, when he'd calmed down a bit, he came over and asked if they could have some of ours?

"No, we've only got a little bit" says my mate. I nearly soiled myself. Over that night and the next, I drank more alcohol than I have ever done before or since. Herman was furious throughout. Totally hilarious.

This is a genuine comment found on Harry's official Facebook page...

Doing everything you can to rob Salah. Well done for joining the 100 club with a dive and a free penalty from a linesman who even celebrated when it was awarded. Fake league!!! Just look at Salah and what he does to score goals! You are no where near that class if you have to cheat to score. Kane the fraud.

And when called out on their bullshit, they followed up with

It doesn't matter how long Kane has been the EPL. Salah is a better player. He showed that today. Spurs had more of the ball for most of the match Kane didn't score until the linesman handed him the penalty. The linesman celebrated after he convinced the ref to award the penalty. That's a fact!!!

    They walk among us...

    3 dives.

    Ref dismissed one.
    Ref bought one.
    Linesman bought one.

    Desperate stuff.
