The delusion continues..... Jurgen Klopp: Liverpool boss fumes after Harry Kane penalty in Tottenham draw - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42940280 Virgil VD now claiming Kane dived, even after his own keeper admits clipping him with his shoulder. Doesn't comment on the kick on Lamela funnily enough... Born to be a Mouser, that lad
You can't win with the scousers, they spend most of their time whinging that refs get things wrong then, on two very good decisions they still whinge about the ref
You do realise that the world and his wife thought the gap from 4th to 5th would be 5 pts come FT (or 30 seconds before it) .
VvD says... "I see him [Lamela] coming in the end and I try and hold my leg in, he just pulled his body in front of the ball and he goes down. The ref said play on and I was very disappointed that the linesman said otherwise." "First of all it was offside and secondly he just put his body in front of me. I don't think that is a penalty." Delusional. He's gonna fit right in.
We got lucky with poor officials today. That said we played well and were the better team even though we were lacking a threat until the last 20minutes. Good point at a ground we usually lose at and sets things up nicely for the NLD next week.
The stats suggest we were the dominant team 66-34% possession More shots on goal more corners. Didn't feel like it though
That Howitzer from Victor was going at 63mph....his body position was text book when he smashed it...perfect Will never do it again
I watched MOTD tonight. I try not to because the pundits usually infuriate me. That's it for keeps now. Jenas and Lawro are ****ing idiots. They showed footage of Jon Moss and the linesman [**** the assistant referee nonsense] which had sound. The Lino says something like.... "Did Lovren touch the ball? If so, it's a penalty. If not, it's offside." Why does he ask that? It's because the laws of the game say.... "A player in an offside position receiving the ball from an opponent, who deliberately plays the ball (except from a deliberate save), is not considered to have gained an advantage." So, Kane may be in advance of the last outfield defender but if Lovren plays the ball intentionally, KANE IS NOT OFFSIDE. That seems simple enough. Not for our pundits. They dismissed the laws of the game as nonsense, preferring to see Kane as offside because that's how the think it should be. They tried to humiliate the lino for deferring to the ref on whether Lovren played the ball - despite it being the ref's call and him being far nearer to Lovren at the time. Whereas the linesman was concentrating on a potential offside call, which is his job. By the laws of the game the lino was absolutely spot on throughout. Officials have a tough ****ing job at all levels of the game. Incorrectly mocking them doesn't help anyone. If you're going to criticise, have the decency and professional pride to get it ****ing right. No more MOTD for Brian.
I wonder how many other teams have dominated possession against them so much in recent times? Of course you can guess the narrative on TalkShite tomorrow (oops, today), it's so predictable.
**** me, just read back on our board and it's fairly normal, people have seen replays and highlights now and most think a point each was a fair reflection on the game. Nobody really going nuts about the pens. Then I come on here and you lot are very tense, throwing **** all over the place. At the risk of sounding a bit of a cliche, calm down.
Most will take the draw....but most still feel like we could have bagged it...that stings for a bit longer.Kane scores first pen and we see it out..personally that made it feel like a 2 pts dropped...I'm happy with the draw
I thought we had got all 3 and robbed you, our tactics were wrong in the second half. We thought we could play deeper with the 1 goal and catch you on the break, something we do often but you defended well and got yourselves back in it. We've done that tactic often so I can see why we would do that it just didn't work in this occasion.
No, we got lucky with EXCELLENT officials! Credit where credit is due. They got every big decision spot on. We're quick to criticise - and I was one dreading Moss beforehand - so we need to recognise when they get it right.
I would venture that if you haven't seen the incident and the replays then it's probably wise to STFU until you do! And that goes for the coaches! Most comments from rabid 'Pool fans were either mirrored Klopps own misguided view, incorrectly stating the rules of the game or were simply dismissing clear video evidence on this site. Think you'll find that's what we were reacting too
