If you want to talk win percentages, do you know Grayson's Championship win percentage for his entire career is only around 32% from getting on for 300 games?

People always defend Grayson because he reminds them of their loser mate who always gets a round in.

Grayson had a full squad to chose from and couldn't get results.

Coleman has half a squad and has managed results.

    I'll stick with Coleman, thanks.

So a former player says his former manager lies? Why trust the player more than the manager? You are backward. More points per game under Coleman. Concede less goals under Coleman. Win more points under Coleman. Games less exciting maybe but we lost so many games by conceding loads with Grayson. Ok we scored loads too but how can you possibly back up your "Grayson for me" comment? You basically state you want a manager who won one game in 15? I'd love to work out your reasoning behind it. It'd be interesting also to hear that but you'll keep saying "Grayson for me" without giving a single shred of evidence to prove yes better than Coleman!

I look at the job he did at Preston and believe he has more experience of this League. would have got us up the league. We always looked like scoring. He didn't have Oveido at left back. I see Coleman and his 3 across the back doing nothing other than taking us down.
As for being backward…….your opinion mate.

So you’re refusing to ignore how terrible he did for us, not Preston. He was taking us down, of that I have little doubt.

He was hamstrung by the powers above as is Coleman.

If you compare their figures side by side I’d guess that Coleman’s are better.

You could make the case that every manager since O'Neill could have been more successful if they had been backed properly. Apart from Big Sam none stood out as being better than the others.

And what of the job he did here? Or does his Preston experience matter more? He COULDNT keep a clean sheet (Coleman has) he COULDNT win more than one game (Coleman has) etc.

Not sure what evidence you're using to base your opinion on but all I see is someone anti Coleman who is blind to everything our previous manager dud at the club! We scored goals. Great. But we always conceded. Normally more. With Grayson it was lose most and draw occasionally and never win. With Coleman it us lose most, occasional draw and occasional win. You must enjoy watching us lose!

He got 3 month here, only a fool would judge him on that given his proven record at this level. It looks to me on other threads like a lot of others are questioning Colemans tactics.

Aye he got 3 months. And you've judged Coleman on.... 3 months! Others are questioning hus tactics, not seen anyone but you say Grayson would be better!! I don't think there's anything wrong with 3 at the back. As long as none of them are Billy Jones! He probably should've changed it earlier. But who knows what would've happened if he had? Nobody. All conjecture. See people on Twitter saying "we'd have won that easily playing 4-4-2" none of them with the username Nostradamus! Everyone knows better. And you appear to think he's lying about Grabban because Grabban says so? You've got no grounds in the "Grayson's better" argument other than we scored more goals. You negate to mention that we conceded more and won less and gained less points per game with less injuries in the squad. But stick to your argument because you dislike Coleman. Me, I think he's the right man. He may take us down but it won't be his fault (it wouldn't have been Grayson's either btw)

That's the key point here. It's a pointless argument, they're both having to do the job hamstrung by the owner. I dislike Ashley, but he hasn't hamstrung our recent managers in the way that Short has done yours. I'm not sure what Short is expecting, but the saleable asset that he once had is losing value fast and he doesn't seem to be bothered.

They're historically a bigger club but they're not a bigger problem club than we are.

They're a championship club who want to be in the premier league. We're a premier league club whose fans think we should be in the premier league whose owner is running into the ground and whose players are horrendous over paid and under skilled.

He looked like he couldn't deal with it. I don' hold that against him. I think most would struggle. But he was not a good fit. It didn't work. We got rid. Onto the next. Hopefully he does better.

It's well within your rights to look back in anger but don't expect people to agree after he did so badly here in terms of results.

What bigger club? Leeds? Based on what? Having been in European competition more recently than us? That's the only thing that you could possibly base that on.

Are you applying for the Barnsley job Simon? Wouldn't be a bad choice to get your career back on track.

    Neither for me!!

I think it would be a great time to bring Di Canio back. And I'm not kidding.
