A weakened team on paper should still be good enough to get a result. If it is going to be a weaker side, I'd guess it would be something like this: Harper Maguire/Chester Bruce McShane Elmo Meyler Quinn Livermore/Thudd Figueroa Aluko Sagbo
I feel sorry for anyone who has shelled out for Lockeren, its going to be a very weakened team, prob play for a score draw, or 0-0
I expect a complete change between the starting teams @ Qpr and Lokeren. We have the depth to do it now. Lokeren are not as good as Stuttgart either.
Strange, but I actually agree with you, Froggy. Ince and Jelly looked to have a good understanding at Stuttgart.
A great chance to play everyone before the Stoke game John. Plus with Hudds, Livermore Davies on yellow cards they need to be kept maybe for the home leg. In saying that the Stuttgart team should be more than good enough. We need to get at least one away goal this time.
The whole point of strengthening the squad is so that we can use it. I think he's right to rotate. Everyone gets a game, keeps the players happy and gives them a chance to push for a start in the league. No one gets too knackered.
lockeren cup final McGregor McGregor Rosenior Rosenior McShane Bruce Maguire Davies Figeroa Elmohamedy Meyler Meyler Chester Chester Brady Livermore Boyd Huddlestone Aluko Quinn Sagbo Fryatt you couldn't make it up - but you did - only 4of the cup final team started at Lockeren - we're talking about him playing a weakened team at Lockeren - this more than proves he did - to be fair it would have been 5 but he wanted to give his son a cup final medal
He only gave away one goal, didn't he? And it was only to make it 2-1 from what I remember, so no biggie (to borrow an American phrase)
He should have been booked for diving resulting in a sending off for two yellows. We'd probably have lost anyway. Forest next not hopeful.
So you yourself are saying the team picked for Lokeren was weaker. We can all move on with our lives now.
Anyone know why this thread has been picked up again? I guess it's related to an argument on another thread...
