The Pats under Belichick remind me of Man United in Fergies last few years, they never have the best players (Brady excluded) or the best squad but they're so well coached they can beat anyone. I have no strong dislike for the Pats but I hate the bandwagon fans, so for that reason I'd like to see the Eagles win, plus it would be good to have another British Super Bowl winner.
What farce are you referring too? Franchises always move in US sports, they have done since the inception of the professional leagues, it's just part of business, fans of teams in the big 4 leagues just accept it.
Not true that all just accept it, otherwise why are the LA Chargers and LA Rams finding it hard to get support? The independent Chargers forum was mainly against them doing well this past season and plenty left the official one over the last year or so as it was obvious they would move, and many in San Diego are moving on from the NFL it seems. There was already a thread here anyway which you've forgotten about? https://www.not606.com/threads/raiders-on-the-move.345546/
There's a hell of a lot more "show" during the game (if you call it that !) than before the game. Razzmatazz gone berserk with very little substance if you ask me A boring game of chess with lots of tits on show.
It's the manner in which they move. I was a St. Louis Rams fan. The NFL violated a long list of their own relocation rules, publicly lied throughout the process, and in the end did whatever the hell they wanted to do for the short-term dollar. Screw 'em. I haven't watched an NFL game in two years (I watched parts of last year's Super Bowl at a party). I now prefer to watch English soccer.
Aside from all the craptastic showcase of the worst of American culture that is the Super Bowl, there are some alternatives that come around each year on the day of the big game. If you can withstand a cuteness overload, find the Puppy Bowl. They have a new stadium for Puppy Bowl XIV, and this year baby bunnies, piglets, and baby ducks have joined the kittens in the ranks of the cheerleaders. Win, lose, or drool, it's a rollicking good time. https://www.animalplanet.com/tv-shows/puppy-bowl/ please log in to view this image
The Patriots are famously known for cheating In the 60’s one of their fans came on and stopped a touchdown pass. The refs didn’t spot it! True story
Too bloody late, if they want to expand the worldwide appeal of the game they should play at a time to suit us.
Agreed ... and as it stands at the moment I dont think our night games should be under floodlights,.,..
White man throws a ball. Two blacks clatter into each other. If the attacking black catches it some points are scored. If the defending black catches it then that team's white gets a go at throwing it. Cue thirty minutes of adverts for Pepsi and monster trucks. THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH DA DA DA DA
