GD 0 which is as good as a clean sheet, and better given the timing of the goal

tbh I will be glad to get this one done.

we should have been talking about the city game as season defining but city we so far in front of everyone it became a free game.

now spurs are season defining in a battle for cl qualification the also rans.

once this game is done we are looking at a slog in the league and just a couple cl games to look forward yo but no real expectations bar not losing badly to a big side. we are in it to try our best but at best it's a nice to have to reach qf.

Even if Spurs won today they'd be 1 point ahead with 36 left to play for

Liverpool's Adam Lallana is a doubt to face Tottenham, with manager Jurgen Klopp not willing to risk aggravating a recent thigh injury.

Virgil van Dijk is expected to play after being rested in midweek.

Tottenham's new signing Lucas Moura is unlikely to feature, having not trained in recent days because of his move.

Serge Aurier, Harry Winks and Toby Alderweireld could all be in contention following their return to full training after injuries.

The only game that is ever important is the next one. Win, lose or draw, the Southampton game will be massive come 6.30pm today

    massive?

    not really.

    worth the same points yes..

we will either be in the grinder needing every point or floating along waiting for the end. either way we've no silverware coming... again:(

just bread and butter games. nothing massive about them

maybe, just maybe the Chelsea game thats second last in the season might be a winner takes all. who knows.

Yes definitely. Just feels like a huge game because of both our positions in the league.

Feels like whichever way it goes it could change the momentum of our respective seasons.

It will be massive. If we lose, Spurs will be above is and e need to keep pressure on. Draw and we will need to win to maintain the gap. Win and it'll be the Man City scenario all over again.

It is a massive game, can't deny it. Sure, we've got an easier run in and if you look at '4 game blocks' it's not terrible to lose or draw, but momentum wise and getting an edge over the other top 4 challengers, it's a huge game. 5 points ahead of Spurs, 8 points over Arsenal and 3 over Chelsea with be big for mentality.

I fancy us today, but then I also expect us to drop points to Saints in the next fixture as we usually do following a big game.

I thought you said the Southampton would be as.massive.once this one is over.

As a 6 pointer losing or winning this one is massive. drawing just fine.

    Southampton is just another game

    You are right, imo.

The reason why this game is massive is because its against a direct rival.

The Southampton game isn't because even if we lose Spurs are playing Arsenal so there's no guarantee they pick up points anyway.

I'm talking about the Saints game. Whatever the outcome of today's match, people will come up with one of the above reasons as to why the Saints game is an extending important must win game.

Yep, people didn't claim we "had to" best Swansea to build on the Man City result at all...
