Just watched it for the first time on MOTD, please forgive me for making a comment on it.

 

Motd! Haha - Carillo was really unlucky with his near goal attempt, great save by Foster though.

 

Didn’t see much of Carrillo in the highlights but he forced a good save from Foster to win the corner from which Lemina ended up scoring.

I can see some similarities already to Pelle, he will get goals for us! I want us to keep playing him now for the remaining fixtures.

 

Just watched highlights on Sky. Carrillo looked promising. Lemina's goal was great....need more of those. Lovely looping header from Stephens...the boy's on fire, but gets caught out in defence. JWP showed us the skill we know he has....apparently 4 goals in 5 starts according to the commentator. Boufal was really upset about not being given the free kick....could understand it if he was the one brought down, but he wasn't. He must know that James takes them. Stephens had to calm him down, whilst Hoedt took charge. Lots of hugs for Jay at the end....perhaps Pardew should have started with him and brought Sturridge on later. Still not our problem.

Going to be ups and downs before the end of the season, but we should be alright if we keep plugging away and even settling for the odd points. Easier to stay out of the zone than to get out of it.

 

Carrillo showed good work rate, determination, good in the air, decent link up and a decent finish from the cross. Also had some dodgy touches and showed some rustiness, and ran out of steam in the second half - I think he will be a good signing.

 

We even played a through ball to the striker, crazy!

Sold! Liverpool on full alert!

 

Only 12 points needed from 12 games to reach 38, which will probably be plenty. People were saying that we needed 4 points from the Brighton game and this one, which has been achieved the “wrong” way round.

Does anyone else think that the fact that 7 of those games are away might actually help us?

 

Our home games are tough for the most part which is perfectly fine with me. We've given Spurs, United and Arsenal a good game at St Mary's whereas we've struggled against the teams we should be beating at home. I'm glad we've got a lot of our rivals away from home.

 

To cap it all....Sturridge didn't score against us. Bloody 'ell!
