O'Leary got too big for his shoes. He thought he was going to take over from Alex Ferguson. The media were waxing his lyrics
There was no reason a clueless coach and Serie b cheap imports were going to make it. I spent thirty five years denyingg logic but gfh, Haigh and Cellino cured me.
Understood. Think it was six of one and half dozen of other where Ridsdale and o Leary were concerned
Ridsdale should have told Roach to va te faire foutre , tu prends la pisse, or he was either, as thick as pigshit, or getting half of the 200 grand back in a brown envelope. I mean, come on how dumb, or bent do you have to be to stand for that
Evening fela, Either way it was engineered by DOL without Ridsdales knowledge. Contract was fulfilled by turning up
Evening Ell Pistol Pete should have sacked O'Leary there and then, there should never have been a contract for translating at 200 grand a pop, it beggars belief
Just back from the game and I don't get all the usual doom and gloom. Ok we're not going to be promoted which would have been a massive bonus anyway. To be honest I never really expected promotion this season as I always saw it as a building block towards next year and so far I think we are on track in many aspects of that process. A few have asked for any positives from todays game and for me the most obvious was how Hernandez was the best player on the pitch once he was moved inside from his usual left hand side role. Allioski also showed some real fire in his belly for all of the second half which was pleasing to see. Incidentally he switched to the left in place of Pablo and he was far more effective because he also drifted inside and looked to play more between the lines. Forshaw is quality player and a very good addition to the team...should be made captain and I'm sure he will be before too long. In terms of character it was interesting who stepped up in the second half at 0-3 down and also a man down. So in addition to the already mentioned above I would like to add Vieria, Pennington and Lassoga. Unfortunately sometimes effort and desire alone are simply not enough and Roofe simply is not good enough for what we require. I feel sorry for having to say that about him but he will be a very good League 1 player for someone and we should at least get a decent fee. There was a good amount of opinion that he would improve in his 2nd season and whilst I think he has improved he simply does not have either the speed of thought or fleetness of foot to be more than a squad player for us. The other player that disappointed me today was Le Bock...he has such a cultured left foot but he plays with the handbrake on. He needs to learn to be more assertive going forward and lose the impersonation of Brian The Snail going back. I suspect one is linked to the other and his lack of pace is why he seems to play within himself. Feel a little bit sorry for TC as certain players have massively let him down but unfortunately he has to go and let someone else give the talented players we undoubtably have the direction they need.
And I'm sure there are others who would mark them differently. I mean how can you mark every individual player and still watch the match. FFS there are match reports and marking players by people who weren't even at the matches. I take it with a pinch of salt.
Haven't read his match report etc but Hernandez was outstanding second half and laid on a gilt edge chance for Lassoga in the first. Definitely a 7 or 8 for me.
Jammy you may give up, because there are people on here who only seem to want to knock the club. I'm all for opinions, but it's getting annoying. I'm as pissed off as anyone, but the constant negativity is wearing thin now.
