I'm amazed someone fell for that. Look at his age: someone scores 24 goals in 36 matches in the Championship, as a teenager, and their next move is to a French amateur club?
I presume the contract stands if he didn't use his Wikipedia page in the application (and why would you), but they were just moronic enough to read it and believe it. I hope he can play football.
Page looks to have been fixed (and protected). Apparently he actually made training camp with the Angolan national side, despite a much more prosaic career.
Watch them take out PSG, even though they are playing poorly in a Liga, Ramos is the master of the dark arts but never gets carded in the big games. He will ensure a PSG player does get a red over the two matches
I had one of those "double jeopardy" incidents in my game I was refereeing today. Last minute of the game, striker clean through and was brought down in the box by the centre back. He was hacked down from behind so I sent him off as well as giving the penalty. It didn't half cause a **** storm after the match though. That law does work in principle but today does prove to me that it gives a lot more room to argue with referees. A couple of years ago, no one could argue about that dismissal but today I was surrounded by bloody players arguing the toss (apart from the player himself to be fair, who accepted my decision without arguing and shook my hand after the game). No matter how many times I said "he was brought down from behind, there was no chance of playing the ball first" they just wouldn't accept it.
I am glad you managed to survive that incident and well done on sticking to your principles. What were the parents and spectators like? No Xmas cards for you from them, then?
Anyone else watch BTsport talking about Mahrez? Jake has been saying that Leicester have every right to stand there ground, whereas Savage thinks he should be allowed to leave, what ever the price. Unbelievable, really makes me cross. We all should be applauding & supporting clubs not bowing to the pressure from bigger clubs, and footballers who have signed a deal, but then think they are too big. £65M is a joke, and City need to have a look at how they have acted so late in the window.
Will y'all be cheering on the mighty Imps tonight as they play Chelsea reserves U21 development squad............as we try to emulate the mighty Saints in lifting the Tin pot trophy? And will there be a sweepstake on how many young English players will partake "to further their development" for Chelsea seeing as that was the main argument for the PL "U21/U23" sides taking part in the first place. And a bet for which flimsy young (or old reserve) centre back gets knocked over by Matt Rhead first
A repeat of our Virgil saga....he too had a sulk before being reintegrated. Mahrez is there till the summer....spoilt brat should just knuckle down now.
Here in Spain there has been a lot of snow, so much that the wimps of Real Madrid cancelled it. Not so for the mighty Leganes club. (Leganes is a town within the greater Madrid metropolitan area.)
