My mates lad plays for hull ru and you really wouldn't call him fat or that he can hardly run. Training 4 nights a week, gym work and on the pitch. I'd get yourself down to ypi and have a look. So the scots couldn't win a line out or the other team were better?? That's a contest isn't it. One team better than the other. By and large rl more watchable. Arf. Tell that to the rest of the country, sorry countries.
As the old saying goes, a good game of union is better than a good game of league but a bad game of league is better than a bad game of union. Comparing blokes at Hessle playing union with FC or Rovers isn't a true comparison. That would be Leicester, Gloucester, Saracens etc... It can't be that bad as that as the average crowd for an Aviva Premiership game is more than a Super League one.
Fair question, they were a random example although I have 2 cousins who played for them and I know what they're like. I have seen a fair few lower league teams and it's just dull!
My post was meant to be provocative, I got something right... But I do get a bit fed up with all the RU love that surfaces whenever 6 nations comes around. I mean, I've never seen anyone on here post a 'Well done Ionians thread'.
True enough about Ionians They are doing really well actually RU is slightly odd I think in that many England fans aren’t really fans of other clubs, myself included, hence 6 nations and World Cups getting so much interest Anyway my question was fairly genuine. I haven’t seen Hessle for years, but I have seen Hullensians and Ionians and they looked pretty fit to me (it’s all relative though I suppose...an increasingly large proportion of people look fit to me nowadays)

Always do a match day thread for important internationals or major sporting events. Like the masters. The Lions tours, 6 nations, world darts finals, the Ashes, Wimbledon, the olympics, NFL. Think that covers all major international sporting events that the world has heard of. Yes definitely that's it.

Nah. I love watching different sports. Fascinating the work that goes into setting up plays and defending them. I love themental/psychological side of sport.
