Lemina was superb. Romeu better in the second half. JWP brilliant. Cedric fantastic. We are weak defensively, at set pieces and in aerial battles. Different kind of test next week against Liverpool though. But that's a thought for another day. We won an actual football game!!! I'm so happy

 

To be fair he was a bit poor for a while after his injury but certainly seems to be getting back to his best.

 

That was actually enjoyable to watch.

To be fair to MP2, Lemina really wasn't good for a while after he came back from his injury, whether that was just rustiness or he hadn't fully recovered from it. Showing now that he obviously is which is great news!

 

I've got nothing against him, and he has been a good servant to the club, but I will be happy to see Steven Davis nowhere near the first team for a while.

 

He had one below par performance and then was dropped for ages - unlike Redmond/Forster/Davis/Tadic who have been poor for 20 or so games and still played every week.
But anyway, we won. Time to be positive. I still think pellegrino should go though.

every time Lemina is sold a short pass, is surrounded by 3 players he still seems to come away with the ball, magic!

 

If he shows that he is learning and continues with this team and tactics, i'm happy to see Pellegrino continue for the time being.

 

Just seen that we had only lost 2 of our last 7 matches in the PL before today's game. Funny old thing, the draws felt like a loss most of the time.

 

A win in the PL can make a huge difference.

Isn't it strange, I've just been out in the garden and what a beautiful evening, the air is clean and fresh, the neighbors black cat has arrived for me to smooth and I'm even looking forward to a vist later from the Mother-in-law?

 

Our desperate need for a win has overshadowed our recent form. Hard to beat and able to score the occasional goal....with an ounce of luck we had to win sometime. Merson was talking about WBA and how when you were at the bottom you get no luck....mentioning the 2 penalties he thought West Brom should have had.......news for him, we were also at the bottom and we needed a touch of luck as well. Fair play to Pardew he wouldn't be drawn into excuses....he felt his team were second best today.

We could have had a couple of pens too! Their first goal, the scorer fouled Stephens before heading in (although Stephens needs to be stronger there). Their second goal,... Rondon missed his header and it hit him on the shoulder and went straight in the top corner. Wouldn't say West Brom had no luck today or that we were lucky. We were the better team!
