Just seen for the first time on SSN Pardew speaking on Carroll.

The bloke seems pretty pissed off to me, and rather gutted at losing Carroll.

It seems we can all agree that Carroll is a ****, who has acted in a disgraceful way to get more money quickly. He has claimed he was forced out, but then says he jumped at the chance to join Liverpool.

Not to mention I cannot ****ing stand Liverpool.

Anyway, that's the end of it I hope until we meet again. The 3000 mags there at Anfield in April will certainly give the lad some stick.

    Here's to many injuries!

    Man United fan in peace.

I'm no fan of Liverpool and obviously, from the amount of trouble Carroll has been involved in already in his short time in the limelight, think his behaviour is suspect at best. However, there are 2 sides to every story and we've heard both. As Newcastle fans, you are naturally inclined to believe your manager on this one but that doesn't mean it's necessarily the truth. Besides, Carroll never said he was pressurised by Pardew but said he came under scrutiny from the boardroom so who's to say who to believe and that carroll and Pardew aren't both being honest in what they've said?

Many people already thought Carroll was in the wrong as he simply had to say "NO". Then he claimed he was "forced" out so we questioned whether he was to blame. However, the video and quotes of what he has said to Liverpool completely contradict the so called text messages that he has sent.

Pardew gave a very up front set of events, which sounds more believeable than the disjointed one Carroll has said

He's not even stuck to just one story. It's so obvious he's trying to pull the wool over eyes.

Pardews story is immensely plausible. Carrolls was suspect at best (a few supposed texts that were very short and left alot to be read into). Since his LFCTV interview and other media has come out i am in no doubt that Pardew is talking the truth. They were ready to reject the £35m offer and then Carroll rang Pardew saying he wanted either a better contract (3 ****ING MONTHS AFTER GETTING A HUGELY IMPROVED ONE!!!!!) or to talk to Liverpool. What would you do in that situation?
Give him the new contract and you have officially handed all power to any player that has a good 5 months form. Everyone would be banging down the managers door wanting a new contract, regardless of how long they have left on their current one.

He masterminded his way to get a high wage, showed his true colours at the end. Dick, ****, twat, tosser, bellend and ****head are not strong enough.:emoticon-0173-middl:emoticon-0176-smoke

Difference between a loyal player and a money grabbing one:
Carroll: Gets new contract, improved wages, hometown club etc. As soon as there is interest it changes the dynamic and all he can see is $$$

Barton: Best form of his career (arguably), contract up and discussions in place, would be justified if he asked for higher wages. He knows this isnt possible so takes a £500k a year pay CUT!

I know which type of player i would rather have at my club. And it's not the geordie.

I totally agree. I think it's fair to say we all loved Andy when he was playing for us; but he's been shown up for what he is. But the reason we made it out of the Championship with ease, and made such a good start to this season, wasn't Andy Carroll. It was the belief, spirit and togetherness of the squad. If any player is going to destabalise that then they know where the door is.

I say, well done to Barton for being a sound lad and sticking with this club, a club that have stuck with him. And well done to Pardew for not being held to ransom by a mercenary (and the possible backlash from the fans...)

As Newcastle fans we're more inclined to not believe a single word that comes from the club as it can be construed as a PR exercise...

One or both parties are lying. I think it's both.

The only link is that both parties are greedy bastards and put money before the club.

His wages have practically trebled so who can blame him, we've been doing ok without him lately and we've got Ben Arfa and Tiote due back soon. Get on!

Exactly, gutted to lose a player like him, but NUFC is a TEAM no one player (who hasn't been in the squad for 5 weeks now) Nolan and Barton are the heart beat of this team and they are still here.

Look to the positives we have only lost one greedy prick, we still have a squad full of commited players

I don't know who to believe, but between Barton and Carrol lgive me Barton everytime.

It's going to be hard but Carroll is gone and we need to move on.

He has been sidelined for week's and we have shown we are not a one man team.

This reminds me very much of when Peter Beardsley left Newcastle for Liverpool. He maintains to this day he didn't want to leave, but when he saw that the board's eyes were bulging at the fee offered by Liverpool and he wasn't really wanted anymore, added to the fact he himself got a generous offer, he thought he might as well go.

You should have heard Glenn Roeder and Graham Taylor on Radio Five Live yesterday. Both said unequivocally that the club were responsible for Carroll leaving. As for Harry Redknapp, he said he was 'creased with laughter' at the idea that the club were fighting to keep the player throughout the day, when all they wanted to do was knock the price up a bit.

I don't blame Carroll at all, just the fat bastard who owns our club and his lackeys.

If it was those two twats on the board then if carroll had of stayed he could have become a geordie legend by pretty much forcing them out!
He's jumped ship when it's got hard for him.
Same as ever for a footballer he wanted more money and couldn't live off his 30k a week aparently

Derek Llambias quoted in The Sun, Wednesday:

"We didn't push Andy Carroll out, far from it - he asked to go. The fact is Mike Ashley didn't want to sell him, it's not like he needs the money is it? And remember we turned down bids of £30m and then £35m from Liverpool.
"That's serious money for a 22-year-old with only six months' experience in the Premier League. But finally Mike's point of view was the player's put in a transfer request, so what can we do?
"Andy was already earning top money at the club after signing a new deal recently.
"But he said he'd been offered £80,000-a-week from Liverpool and asked what we would pay to make him stay. We told him the club just couldn't afford to give him a deal like that, nothing close.
"And when we said 'No' - well, that's when he put in his transfer request. Yes, he went in our helicopter. But the sooner the deal was done the sooner we could make our own moves in the transfer market. It was already very late.
"We will spend in the summer. Every penny of the £35m will stay in the club."

    I beleive him.

one thing people seem to have forgotten

    Andy's agent.

He's just scored a hefty paycheque, and with Carroll now on megabucks and at Liverpool, no doubt more money to come.

His voice in Andy's ear telling him what to do...

I must admit it had crossed my mind that Carroll had recently changed his agent "Chaching" for him, has he suggested to Carroll to push for more money and if not threaten to want to speak to Liverfool!!!!

When he got the big NO were not prepared to break the wage cap, he followed it up with the transfer request.

You don't hand a transfer request in because the club tell you to!!!

Yes the club will profit with the transfer fee, Carroll & his agent also profit

''When I knew [Liverpool's interest] was real and that there was a chance for me to come here I knew it was a great opportunity and I had to take it," Carroll told the club's official website - sky sports

This is pure proof that Carroll made this decision in my eyes. Unless he just wants to appear positive to the fans of LFC. (in which case I have just argues against my own point).

As far as I can tell, he doesn't exactly look devastated at the prospect of his new 80k a week contract! Photos of him smiling away in his car (NUFC.com) etc...

We have been doing very well without him and may it continue!
