Have you just woken up from a nap where you were dreaming that McNair was shagging your mrs or something?

I've never got the vibe that he's faking injury, it seems unlikely. I get the frustration though that we're paying good money for players to get massages and play football once in a blue moon. Or should that be a super blue blood moon.

Honest Nacho, Cattermole, Kone, McNair and Rodwell, Circa £190k a Week, and none of them would get another club… its nearly £10 million a year :emoticon-0153-broke
We are well and truly ducked…..is that Shorts fault ?

I know that he's on nowhere near £35k pw some of the bullshite which floats round here. He was only on 20k in the Prem before his 40% wage cut kicked in. Really devalues the place when you come on to see people waffling about mindless ****e. The lad is not a leach, he's trying to come back from one of the most career threatening injuries a footballer can get, the same injury which has given Watmore double the time out. Where's his grief? It doesn't exist because all of this is mindless scapegoating. It's not intelligent or witty, it's ****e transparent craic. He may not be a good player, but to attack the lad's integrity on false facts and a lack of understanding of his injury is quite frankly pathetic.

This club may be grinding me down, but I'll still stand up for it and any player who's done nowt wrong. Cause I still take such attacks personally as a fan so by Christ I'll still stand up for it.:emoticon-0121-angry

Stand up and take it personal then Bri, I don't take your stuff or insults personal, my opinion is he's a crock, we were sold a pup. No need for the Rant . Just my opinion.

The frustration is that we now need some of our bigger players to stand up and be counted. It's unfair, but the Rodwell situation is casting doubts onto other players, and rightly or wrongly McNair is now being questioned. It's the nature of a forum, the answer may be that he too has had a set back. A statement from the club would be helpful, or has there been one - I'm not sure.

Bit of a weird comparison for me.

One is sat on idiotic wages, won't play though he can and won't leave the club though he has other offers. Comes out in the press and talks about playing for England and his passion for football but actually just wants his cash.

One is struggling with serious injuries.

Night and day between the two in my eyes.

One certainty is that players are insured by clubs when they pick up injuries. So their wages are covered by an insurance clause rather than having to be paid by the club. (This is definite - something I learned about in my FA coaching badges).

Thing is, there are also clauses in these insurances - some can depend on the type of injury and how it occurred (So for Watmore and McNair they'd have basically cost the club very little with their long term injuries - but with a strain or something like that I don't know).

Although, if our management team are as good at negotiating with the insurers as they were with negotiating Rodwell's contract, they're probably only covered if they're killed in a helicopter accident at the top of mount kilimanjaro!

I haven't abused you, i've defended my club from your sinking cesspit of an attitude. I'll continue to, too. You're welcome to agree, disagree, or call me up and down. I don't care fella. <ok>

I feel for the lad, his carreer with us was just getting going when he did his cruciate. He had a couple of setbacks on his way back to fitness. Then when he has got back into first team contention he seems to be sufferring with a couple of niggles. Must be driving him nuts, its frustrating for us as he is the type of mobile midfielder that we need and have been missing.

I think its a bit of a low blow to give him the rodwell treatment like.

I go along with this totally, there is no evidence to link the two situations, and until there is, no comparisons should be made imo. Hope to see Paddy back asp. hope to see the back of Rodwell (under any circumstances) asp. <ok>

Paddy’s scored 3 in 13 for us or so as well, so at least he’s done something.

I totally get the frustration of course, but singling people out unfairly isn’t the way. From what we heard Paddy should be on the way back soon, and it’s still to be shown if he’s good enough of course.
