Apart from being a hugely talented player he looks a real personality dosent he. A real positive player to have in the dressing room and i can see him becoming a key figure in our squad on and off the pitch.
Yeah you can see why there were reports that a number of PSG's player were unhappy about his departure.
Shows the quality of player and person he is. I really hope I don't jinx it but this is a massive, massive signing for us and for the price in this market, an absolute bargain. I remember when he and Neymar were both still playing in Brazil for their respective sides. Neymar was obviously the golden boy but there was an incredible amount of hype on Moura as well, they were both seen as somewhat the heirs to the likes of Ronaldo/ Ronaldinho/ Rivaldo and co. PSG paid around £40m for him 5 or so years back, this was when £40m was an unprecedented amount in football and it shows the sheer class and potential they saw in him to spend such an amount. If Poch can get him firing from the off, we've got one of the best signings of the season, I have no doubt about that.
BREAKING NEWS : Pochettino has resigned with immediate effect, for stating in the post-match conference that Moura cost Spurs 23m and not 25m.
I love that farewell clip especially the free kick. We need another specialist since Eriksen stopped scoring from them and Harry just can't master them -yet-.
Apparently, Mahrez has gone AWOL and is depressed that he’s still at Leicester (according to Sky). It must be Hell for him.
Tbf to the lad, he’s been asking for a move for ages and up until now he hasn’t let it affect his performances for Leicester. He had the chance to join the champions elect and play in the Champions League for one of the favourites. Leicester paid £350,000 for him and were offered around £60,000,000. They should of let him go.
Sorry...completely disagree. If city wanted him they should pay the asking price...end of. If he wanted the freedom to go where ever he wanted then he should not have sign his new contract 18 months ago. I am impressed that Leicester stood their ground and did not letting city or the player get their own way
There was talk last summer saying that, when Mahrez signed his new deal, there was an agreement that if he stayed last season they'd let him go if the right offer came in - and considering that, when he was offered that contract, Leicester were watching that little scrote Vardy publicly batting his eyelashes towards Arsenal and letting everyone know about his £20m release clause it certainly sounds feasible. This does beg the question about whether or not there was a concrete offer for him last summer - or whether Leicester found a convenient loophole.
The timing of the Mahrez thing probably did it for the men in Leicester's ivory towers. Stupid to hand in a transfer request 2 days before deadline and then go off on a strop to try to force through the move. Leicester wanted time to buy a replacement as well as enough money to do so. City offered only one of those.
We didn't get Barkley for 50 million. We got Aurier and Moura. Amazing. I also have high hopes for him, especially as he's the first quality natural RM we've had since Lennon left.
Agreed. The lad was signed by PSG and then dropped only because of Naymar. He is the first of many fall-out players from that squad, but he is one of the best. Credit Levy/Poch for spotting that.
Nowhere near the first PSG sign Edinson Cavani, so Kevin Gameiro heads to Seville PSG sign Marquinos, so Mamadou Sakho heads to Liverpool (okay, bad example...) PSG sign Lucas Moura, so Kingsley Coman heads to Juventus PSG sign David Luiz, so Alex heads to Milan PSG sign Angel Di Maria, so Yohan Cabaye heads to Palace PSG sign Dani Alves, so Serge Aurier heads to Spurs PSG sign Neymar and Kyllian Mbappe, so Goncalo Guedes is loaned to Valencia while Lucas Moura heads to Spurs
They're actually weaker than last season for a few reasons * Last season's Aurier-Marquinho-Silva-Digne back four was far better balanced than this season's Meunier-Marquinos-Kimpembe-Berchiche one * PSG simply cannot play Cavani, Mbappe and Di Maria in the same team, so one of those three is always benched * Draxler is usually dumped into central midfield to accommodate Neymar on the left That's not improving a team, that's unsettling it to accommodate one player who only seems to be there so PSG can test just how much of the piss they can take out of Ligue 1's FFP regulations
