most of it but he did add to it yes.
but isn't that true of all managers unless they last for over 4 years

the final was an aberration though. I still remember with horror our tactics against Barca under Ged which made Swansea against us look gung ho in comparison.

    11 draws though. 5 of them 0-0.

Let's not do a Man Utd and pretend that when they score 4 goals in a game that they are playing exciting, attacking football.

Doesn't matter what football you play, results still matter so no one is going to accept relegation in turn for entertaining football. Bit winning shouldn't be at all costs either imo.

I watch football for entertainment mate. Winning things is great but it's a maximum of four good days a season. Watching your team play attractive football 40-60 games a season makes for a better return on the investment of your time. Plus you still might get one or two of those great days whilst at it.

I loved our football under Roy Evans but a solitary League Cup and several poor league finishes wasn't good enough so he had to go.

I despised the football under Houllier but he gave us several cup wins and a second place finish. Not good enough so he went too.

Rafa had a solid structure matched with attacking flair, won two cups, finished second and saw us gain CL football in most of his seasons at the club. Deemed not good enough.

So one played good entertaining football with little return, one played very defensively with a decent turn and third balanced the two but all got the same end result.

It's not attacking football vs winning things. It's about winning things in an entertaining manner!

So how much longer does Klopp get without producing anything?

Only time will tell us the answer to that question.

ATM I'm happy with Klopp because he sets a team up to play as I would but, like with any manager, I do question some of the decisions he makes.

You must be talking about the supporters view because there's no way we'd know the owners views unless they make things public.

Did you read the M E N last night?, the article about Utd having already chosen Poch as Mourinho's successor whether he wins anything before arriving at OT or not?

Could that be true?, look what happened the last time a manager with no track record of success got the OT hot seat, your question would be as applicable about Poch as Klopp.

Unless there's two types of winning **** all and Poch's is better.:emoticon-0100-smile

My question had FA to do with Poch or Maurine, I asked the question in response to a post saying it's not attacking footaball against winning things, it's about winning things in an entertaining manner.

you said earlier about it being an entertainment business.

winning a trophy for the first time and the drama of the moment can hide bad football. it's not the spectacle it's the drama and excitement then...

this is why plastics are the most harsh.

houllier won a treble. we had not won much in a decade.

rafa won a cl but the football was frankly dire at times but the drama and edge if the seat ride was unmissable.

there's no point imo even pitting pulis or Allardyce in a conversation as they never even try to give fans that.

this is why i am disappointed with klopp now. 3 years running he has ****ed up the cup. while he brought in seniors v West Brom he ripped the team shape apart and we were awful.

    finals first year
sf last year and ground out 4th with Lucas at cb.
no cup runs at home but an easy cl group. if we grind our way towards may.... well it gets a bit dull. where is the edge of your seat drama.... and no a horror show at the back is not drama.

you have to accept as a manc you've been spoiled for near on 30 years. before that you were starved of success for 26.

give.it a few more years and you'd even take George Graham never mind van Gael to win a league <ok>

oh I think is saying if Everton could win a trophy it's be amazing no matter how cos it's the journey not the spectacle.

But shouldn't you're question be in a stamped envelope on its way to John Henry?, how the **** do we know how long they'll give him without silverware .
Poch is relevant to your question, he's won **** all but his team plays nice football, most say Spurs are progressing under him and they doubt Levy and the Spurs board plan to sack him or allow him to leave.
So looking at that I'd say Klopp is in a similar situation with us.

The question wasn't aimed at JH because it is usually the supporters that are the first to whinge, owners are fairly happy as long as they are making money.

I remember the odd silver morsel to keep us from starving during those 26 years :emoticon-0100-smile

Let me rephrase the earlier question, how long do you think supporters of top teams would be happy with entertaining football if it was achieving nothing?

Cant see why you're panicking tbh, he obviously needs and will get longer before the knives are out.

Just chill out and see how it pans out.

I just find it funny how everyone laughs at Arsenal for winning nothing (except 3 FA cups in 4 seasons) by playing entertaining football yet some claim that is what they prefer to winning things.

Winning a FA cup or league cup is great when it's a sign that your squad is so strong you can pick it up along the way. When you win it because you made it your priority after crashing out of the PL and CL for the 19th year in a row then it's a #joke

I would love us to win something, but if not the minimum requirement is to play good football and hopefully improve season by season until a trophy is won.
My biggest gripe with Klopp is like most others amongst our support, sorting out defensive frailties out and our keeper situation.

We sacked a manager for winning a LC and you sacked a manager for winning an FA cup, because despite the silverware they weren't taking the club forward

Now we've got the right manager, whereas you've #bottledit and given Mourinho an extension despite him being abysmal for your club
