Whilst I don't believe that Rangers made up the bid, of course rumours affect investment. Just like any other business that you can invest in. Share prices etc are all based around rumours. It's kind of what half the worlds Stock markets are based on

The real answer is Rangers are skint so in order to drum up interest in their ****e players they make up bids that they couldn't possibly afford to turn down if they were real.

Dundee boss Neil McCann has hit out at Celtic over leaving it till the last minute of the transfer window to buy Jack Hendry. The 22-year-old centre-back joined the Scottish champions late on Wednesday night for a fee which beat the Dens Park record of £1.2million paid by the Parkhead club for keeper Robert Douglas in 2000.

McCann described Hendry as a "good fit" for Celtic , but insisted he was left with no time to bring in a suitable replacement - although he has now signed Angolan international Genseric Kusunga. Being disappointed is not the same as blaming Celtic for any delay in tying the deal up. It's not as if Celtic only approached Dundee on the 31st and then twisted their arms.

 

Celtic may well have approached Dundee much earlier in the window, but it took them til the last minute to meet the clubs valuation of the player, which has left the manager frustrated.

If Celtic had sold Dembele right at the last minute, knowing Griffiths is out injured, and didn't get time to replace him, would you be happy?
