    Good Morning Everyone

It was revealed in the stats that Roofe had 27 touches of the ball during the dire 0-0 draw at Hull!

Roofe has now been with us for 18 months, and yes, I know he has scored 8 times this season (or 11 in 67 appearances) but for me he does not contribute enough.

    Am I being overly critical?

Should TC start with Roberts on Saturday?

How would you rate Leeds spending activity in January?

    On a scale of 1 - 10?

Apparently it is all but confirmed that Leeds will not sign Lasogga in the Summer.

Instead they are turning their attention to Carpi front man Mbakogu.

The Nigerian is still waiting for his EU passport.

The deal is supposed to be in the region of 4m.

Seems Leeds will beat off a lot of competition for him #lufc

Leeds spending has been exceptional if you think nobody else in the league has spent close on £9m this window, and if you think back to last January when we got a couple of duds like Mo Barrow. So under the circumstances a 7 out of 10. The striker department will prove to be a great or a bad gamble.

If Lassoga is going home I hope he makes sure the German fans see him score a shed load before he leaves. He will be in the shop window.

The jury is out regarding the Nigerian as I have said in earlier posts. Another gamble, like Ekuban, yes both look good but ...... Out of all the strikers available to us in January all the experienced proven ones moved to our opponents, Martin, Afobe, Grabban, Hugill, Madine, only the overpriced Marriot is still with greedy Peterborough

Transfer activity 2/10.. Not what the first team needed.

If the rumour about our transfer target is right we can already write off next season. If Rad wants promotion he needs to be investing £10mill plus in a proven striker. Everything else is window dressing and Rad trying to make a quick buck till Cellino returns.

    Morning all.
I'm in very negative territory regarding Leeds after watching the rubish of Hull v Leeds.
They just don't play as a team, Can not pass more than 6 feet with any degree of accuracy, players don't read each other. Results are shi-e.
With regard to transfer activity Leeds don't score so I won't score this, but nothing exciting to me.
    Time will tell.
As a bit of encouragement I don't think we will see Cellino again he is well gone.

Cant comment on January signings and cant see how anyone else can either until theyve played a few games for us and not you tube videos or how they perform on video. Interesting we always beat off loads of opposition for all our signings these days. Anyway, lets see a comfortable 3-0 win tomorrow to kick start our season <ok>

Good Morning Matt and co from a dull Bardsey
I think we hopefully have spent wisely and in Roberts have got what looks like on paper a bargain an Aldi bargain because if he had a long term contract the asking fee would have been much more
Always on the cards that Lassonga was going back as we were not prepared to pay him 60k a week nor will anyone else .Look at Rodwell he says he wants to get his career back on track so long as he can collect 70k a week when in fact he would be lucky to get 5k so he turned down another club who sought his services
It strikes me as we have seen with Myharez the players who hold all the aces He is one greedy so and so and lets face it the owners who have been brilliant apart from sacking of tinkerman can afford to keep himI think he will have some really deep thinking to do .If I was an owner I would think twice about buying him now

Very happy with the signings in this window, and as Doc said probably spent more than any other championship club.Glory won't be happy as we didn't buy Messi, but he was always going to moan so nothing new there.

    Morning all...

Leeds fans are an unforgiving bunch, put Roberts on from the start and you risk ruining his confidence straight from the off. I don't believe he has a chance of starting on Saturday, bench will be his best hope.

Spending in January - None out (apart from loan) and £7m in. It depends on if you are asking for 0-10 based on this division, what others have done and what we have done in the past it, surely it has to be up around 8-9

I'm hoping the Mbakogu rumours are false, he doesn't appeal to me if I am honest. Fingers crossed Roberts makes an impact when he gets his chance and that Ekuban comes back, stays injury free and starts finding the back of the net. As for Lasogga going back, I'm pleased as I still don't rate him. I know others do that have seen him play but I just feel we need much better.

But the question was the "spending" not "quality" ;) Rads has dipped into his pocket, if the quality is not enough then that isn't Rads fault.

If quality not enough, itll be Ortas fault as its his job. But Im not one to praise or criticise until theyve played for us a few times at Elland Road. Well soon know if they are an improvement or not. All the stats or youtube videos prove nothing either way

He looked far better than Lasogga, if he can get a few games and remain injury free the goals will come

Would have thought you would think he was great, after all you like moro and he couldn't score in a brothel at this level.Ekuban is a good player still young and the goals will come, unlike moro who is nearing 40 and rolling down hill fast.<doh>

The years in Italy were when he was only 19-20 <doh>

Hate to say it but I have concerns with Ekuban. Looks fast and a trier but he seems to lack composure in front of goal.

If it takes you 2 full seasons as a striker to score 11 goals in Serie C & D give up and become a goalkeeper <laugh>
