Sounds like Marcus Evans has finally pulled his finger out and got serious!

Great signing in my book, a good foil for Chops and if Bullard and Sonko sign we start to look like we mean business <ok>

The only thing I would say is that with Andrews and Stockdale already with us I think we can only play four loan players so it'd mean once the window closes we could only be able to get one more CB in on loan (unless one of them doesn't play) ....

I thought he looked descent for us when we had him on loan. Definitely his standard the Championship so hopefully with a few games he can be a very useful acquisition for us. We tried to sign him at the start of last season why Keano was in charge, could lead to a permanent signing as he hasn't got much of a look in north of the border.

Very good point Hampy, I can only asume the Lowry deal is going to go through.

Exciting day none the less, helps lift the gloom a little after the last couple of weeks.

I'm starting to wonder if Evans has thought we do need some fire power up front & some guts & steel at the back ......... What games has he been watching then?? Murphy,Sonko & bullard the answer ? Still think another CB RB & pace very much required Marcus dig deep me old china.

wasnt overly impressed with him last time round and his scoring record is below poor but does anyone else think we may use him on the left hand side after the falling out with Martin?

I am afraid the signings of "they used to be good 5 years ago" players is just a publicity stunt by the board that are smarting at the 7 up trouncing.

To be fair they will probably ensure Championship survival but only because Doncaster, Coventry (soon to go into admin), Watford and Brizzle are very poor indeed.

Ipswich need to change the higher management level at the club otherwise there will be more cricket score defeats on the way.

My hopes for Saturday have improved with these signings, I guess the starting line up will be this:

    Stockdale
    Edwards Sonko Delaney Cresswell
    Andrews Kennedy Bullard
    JET Chopra Murphy

Presuming the newbys are fit enough that is, I understand Bullard has had a rigorous pre season with some slovenian fitness experts?

And although a lot of fans slating Sonko, I believe most are fans of clubs for whom he was playing for whilst in the premiership. I think he'll be good at this level.

He good be a decent partner just to hold up the ball for Chopra, which is what we need really. As for Sonko, I think he'd be a great signing at this level, adds a little steel to the back at the very least!

And I'm delighted that Bullard is back! Be very interesting to see how we do against Leeds.

The difference is that Naaridge did something about their management soon afterwards whereas you boys have had a half hearted apology and some indifferent signings as compensation.

Well Bullard was class last year, so thats hardly 5 years ago.

3 good signings, enjoy getting thumped by Chelsea
