Pretty sure Charlie Lee played every position apart from keeper during his stay with us.

brb, whilst I thoroughly enjoy a nice portion of fish and chips I have never used the Gillingham Fish Bar.

Matt Fish went to Ebbsfleet after leaving us, from there he went to Welling in 2016, not sure if he is still there or not.

Tried to do some research, Matt Fish was last reported as still at Welling United in the early months of 2017. It appears from there he has disappeared off the radar. Nothing to suggest he has left or injured. If i find anything i will post again.

Just had a look through and its interesting to note how few are still playing at a high level. There are only three players who played for Gillingham that season are still playing at League One level (two of which were loan players) and another two playing in the Championship (one was a loan player). Everyone else is either playing in League 2, Conference or lower. In the cases of Adam Barrett, Andy Frampton, Deon Burton, Danny Jackman, Adam Birchall, Robbie Findley (loan), Anton Robinson (loan), David Wright (loan) & Nathan Nyafli (injury) have all since retired from the game.

Now as a bit of a quiz for everyone, who can name me the two players who are now playing in the Championship and also the three players still playing at League One level? Clues: None play for Gills.

Unfortunately not quite right James. Leggy is currently plying his trade in League Two for Cambridge United.

Will allow for some other attempts before revealing the answers

I’m thinking that one of the Championship pair must be the Frenchman who scored on his debut in the 1-0 at Wimbledon and got his head smashed in during the 2-1 win at Rotherham. I can see the goals from both games as clear as day in my mind, but his name is long gone from the old grey cells....

Is Dack one of the League 1 mob?

Vincelot - I think we had 14 minutes added to the first half.

Well I think i know one of them for reason, so as not to spoil it for others, I will add another clue, I was there away at Burton Albion when he played his last game for the Gills, when we fielded a young side as our season was already complete. At the final whistle the Burton Players formed a guard of honour to applaud the senior team back on to the pitch. Both sets of supporters were brilliant that day and it never got mentioned in the press. This player I was sad to see go....

I believe he is still currently playing for a South London Club....not Charlton! <laugh>

ps. I meant to say, the reason i mentioned Burton was because it was his first team debut <doh>

Think between you, you've managed to get the three players still playing in League One. They are Bradley Dack at Blackburn, Cody McDonald at AFC Wimbledon and as alluded to by @Lord Sondes Clock Romain Vincelot who plys his trade at Bradford is the third player still playing in League One.

Chris Whelpdale is now at League Two Stevenage so doesn't make this group I'm afraid. @brb is correct with one of the Championship players even if he won't name him. Good luck to anyone else who can get the other player playing in the Championship!

Mahlon Romeo still at Millwall. I was thinking Joe Martin the second but he has left the Wall...so i wouldn't be surprised if it's one of the other youngsters that played in that final game.
