Rio Ferdinand said something about it before the game on some social media site, but I thought he was joking. Maybe he fancied watching a team play some actual football for once?
If Spurs had performed like United,I'd have been having a real go at them. But not United. They prefer to "do a Trump" and find absolutely pathetic inuendos....about nothing!
Coming up against the invasive malodorous media influence that United posses - particularly the Manchester-based BBC - means that we will seldom, if ever win in this kind of situation. Those substitutions were certainly not aimed at improving United’s attacking potential and everything to do with breaking up the stranglehold (ooops, Freudian slip) we had over them by then. Fortunately, Fellaini only lasted 5 minutes before injuring himself and Herrera was just too **** to make a difference, regardless of the provocation he was trying. Feckers, the lot of them!
Their match report looks like it should be on Man Utd's site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42799044 Gets about three quarters of the way through sounding like we were under siege and hitting them on the break, then points out the shot count!
Apparently VAR cannaot be applied to the kick off. Anybody know if that is true, although I dare say there will be many changes before it is universally used
That is why BBC Sport moved to Salford, so the comms delay from the Man Utd press office and them is near zero.
The only viewing I was able to get was Fox sports dedicated Manu Channel. The main commentator was trying to keep impartial, as he should, however his cohort (don't know who it was - just as well) was calling all the Utd players by their first names and completely oblivious to their failings. Compare that to SpursTV where it is almost always neutral and balanced. Didn't hide the obvious way we dominated though . COYS!
The important issue is where is Rachel Riley? I'm sure that she has something to offer on the issue........
You do realise that the only reason we won was because United played badly. I think we are all clear on that. Oh and Dele dived, yes of course. I have heard it said that 5 - 0 would have been a more accurate reflection of the play. I don't think that was from the BBC.................................. could be wrong of course..............................but unlikely. United really?
That's a bit unfortunate................with an 'E' and an extra 'U' instead of the 'K' and one of the 'I's, she'd have a 9 letter word for 18 points, instead of wet sheets.
Can I just give Hugo credit for what he did do last night - The tackle on Lingard was brilliant, the saves from Martial, and Lukaku whilst not the most difficult were well executed and for once his distribution though not perfect was generally sensible and never put us under pressure, an important cog in the whole teams performance last night.
New Man U song by their Surrey contributors:- "Oh Mr porter what did you do? We should have got off at Wembley, but we......where the hell did our team go?"
The distribution was the big change. Looked like a very deliberate move away from automatically passing it out at the back. Certainly a lot fewer chances offered as a result.
