New boy Wilson doing the presser with Nige this afternoon. please log in to view this image "Yesterday was a busy day. I wanted to get out and experience playing in a first-team environment. As soon as I heard of Hull's interest, I wanted to come. I feel it's the right time for me to get some experience." "Andy Robertson said it was a great Club with fantastic staff and players. I already knew Kevin Stewart as well, so it was nice to see a familiar face when I came in." "I think I’m fairly sharp and I like to score but as long as the team are winning, that's all that matters. I’ve had an attacking role at Liverpool. Last season I had 28, this season I‘ve scored 14." "The Championship is a good league and very competitive. When I turned 18, I went out to Crewe in League One and I’m hoping this one will be more successful. I know that I need to perform, but I feel a loan will do me a world of good." "I watch the Championship weekly on the TV and know how competitive it is. I want to play but it’s up to me to impress the manager to make that happen. This is a good Club and I want to help the team pick up some positive results to help us move up the table." please log in to view this image "I made myself clear to Michael - he's a very good player and I wanted him here. There was interest shown, but I didn't want him going anywhere. I'm really pleased Michael Dawson is still with us. He's the guy with the armband and he sets a fantastic example." "Obviously the transfer window causes situations to arise but from my point of view, I'm delighted Michael is still here and part of the squad. He's been a great servant to this Club and is well respected for what he does." "We had a loan offer come in for Kamil Grosicki at 9pm last night which we turned down straight away - that was never going to happen! Kamil was out on the training ground with us today and is looking forward to Saturday's game." "Harry (Wilson) is a talented young player. He's got plenty of talent and ability - but he's also a good guy. He's captain of Liverpool's Under-23 side and he'll come in and give us a different dimension." "Although the deal was announced late in the evening once he'd arrived in Hull, everything was actually agreed and signed off earlier in the afternoon. As I say, I'm delighted to have him here and looking forward to seeing him out on the pitch." "Angus (MacDonald) was highly-sought after last summer. We paid money for him, but not as much as was offered last summer. He's a good guy, a good character and has all the right attributes. Both of them will be in the squad for Saturday." "Mazuch has got a strain in his hamstring which will see him out of action for three, maybe four weeks. He got his foot caught in the ground which has caused the injury. I feel for him because he played really well - his attitude is first class." "I feel for Markus too. It’s a hell of a challenge, a genuine attempt but he’s rolled his ankle. He's in a boot and will probably be out of action for six weeks. You have to feel for him because he's a talented player." "Kevin Stewart has trained today but David Meyler has been unwell, like Adama Diomande was the other day. There are positives though - Stephen Kingsley should be in training on Tuesday or Wednesday and Abel should be back the following week." "On the back of this window we need to sit down and have a debrief because I want to be here a long time. There needs to be a plan in place. We need to analyse the window and get things in place for summer." "Preston have done ever so well this season. They did well under Simon Grayson and have continued that under Alex. It's going to be a tough game, but it's going to be a tough game for them too! We’re competitive, hard to beat and there’s a real togetherness about us." The end.
Very apt title, I assume the Bell End refers to Alex Neil, the twat irritated the life out of me in the home game, was acting like a right twat, constantly in the ear of the 4th official.
Not been to Deepdale before but going this saturday. Looking forward to it. Wonder if we'll score 0 or 1?
Our 0 is a given. It's the other team's score that changes. It's away so it's a 1. If only football was so predictable. We'd all be millionaires and could buy the club to run as a play thing.
You'll enjoy it (hopefully the match as well), old school ground with, usually, a good atmosphere in the away end, loads of safe on-street parking within a 10/15 minute walk of the ground .... enjoy
"On the back of this window we need to sit down and have a debrief because I want to be here a long time. There needs to be a plan in place. We need to analyse the window and get things in place for summer." Not happy with the way things were done then...
It'll be a tight game: PNE old boy, Will Keane, to fluff a shot for the winner, 86th minute ... you know it's gonna happen.
Went years ago before they started redeveloping it. Just as it was decades before. A real old football ground with strangev architecture.Good atmosphere considering the small crowd. There was a very good social club outside. Made most welcome, excellent steak and chips. As we came out of it Tom Finney was arriving. No modern players will get treated with the affection and respect we saw that day.
BBC Sport @BBCSport They didn't want to let him go throughout January, but Alex Neil says PNE selling Jordan Hugill to West Ham was a "good thing". Certainly was.
That'll be one hell of a shot, all the way from Brighton He's just signed for West 'Am ..... thank ****!
yeah that is telling, he had said this before the window too and obviously feels that smoke & daggers is what is being played at City rather than football management
Well that was my gentle ribbing (somewhat damaged by not seeing @originallambrettaman 's post just before mine).
