Man u fans moaning about verts grabbing herrera by the throat and want verts banned how pathetic. Why can't they just admit they got ripped one big time spurs were miles better than them on the night they should be glad we didn't hit them for six.

Would VAR have the goal ruled out? Sad if it did.
Kane didn't gain any advantage. Eriksen and Dele were both got ahead of him.
How many goals are scored from throw ins and free kicks that are not taken from the correct spot?

Shouldn't they be more concerned with choking to death on their own feet? For example...

No, VAR would not change that. Too far before the goal to be part of VAR.

Harry started his run on the refs whistle surely that's what starts the match!

The game does not start until the ball has been kicked, that is why keepers can't leave the line at penalties and walls can't encroach on free kicks even though the ref has often blown the whistle to re-start the game a few seconds before the kicker takes his run up.

Nearly all of these things should be taken again
in the letter of the law. However in the spirit of the law
we tolerate all but the most blatantly stupid
infringements (otherwise games would go on for ever) .

De Gea certainly looks on his line for this penalty, doesn't he?

  10. Video clearly shows Herrera reacting to a Verts tackle by bumping into him and then Verts grabbing him. Who knows what was said, if anything, but it’s a real something and nothing.
Herrera is a horrible little **** whose neck must be permanently bruised by all the times an opponent has grabbed it!
The report in the Metro called his subs performance ‘all action’! Really?? There was nothing ‘all action’ in Uniteds performance from about the 10th minute <laugh>

Superb performance. If we can play like this all the time, then there won't be many sides that can live with it.
Eriksen, Dembele, Vertoghen and Sanchez particularly impressed me, but I'd like to hail Trippier's game for a bit, instead.
He's been pretty disappointing this season, for me, but he seemed to grab the game after some early issues and really push on.
Made a run inside after about 15 minutes, IIRC, beat a couple of players and something clicked.

Ashley Young started pretty well and was instrumental to their reaction to Eriksen's goal.
They doubled up down that side and our Dane wasn't protecting his fullback very well, despite running about a lot.
Then Trippier pushed up, took the game to them and forced Young to stay back and have to defend and it virtually stopped.
The whipped, early ball across the box put Jones in a very poor position and he made an equally poor choice.

Great to see someone whose position is facing a lot of competition stepping up his game.
No Aurier, Rose or Alderweireld and Wanyama only fit enough for the bench, but we keep a clean sheet, the keeper's rarely tested and we win comfortably.
    Good stuff. <ok>

You read all our comments about your team performing crap....yet comment on a negative.

  13. Amen to this :emoticon-0148-yes: - Trips needed last nights performance and after that dodgy start he delivered.

There were so many positives about last night - just need to hit that level more consistently. The availability of those additional players, plus a hopefully inspired Lucas M will be key. Mind you, the fact that commentators and pundits still seem to regard Ben Davies as some sort of stand-in for Rose makes me laugh. For me he’s one of the first names on the team sheet for providing that consistent level of performance. Excellent again last night <cheers>

Davies just quietly gets on with doing a very good job. Utd tried various players down his side last night and they all failed.

Makes me laugh pep clearly knew man city defence was crap so he invested in a new one.
Man utd defence has 2 clowns in the centre and 2 midfielders at full back and moaninho is supposed to be a world class coach .I have been saying for years that smalling and blakey were crap centre halves surely moaninho can see that .Ps we could offload sissoko to man u and tell them he is a quality centre half. <laugh> I'd take a loss £25 million should do it :emoticon-0136-giggl

  16. Playing alongside an inspired Vertonghen must help, but they work so well together. We look incredibly solid, but still manage to offer a real forward momentum.

I'm going to hazard a guess that Man Utd were planning to repeat the tactic a few teams have used on Trippier this season and have someone deployed high up the pitch to keep him busy, which has nullified him in previous matches - but once we scored that tactic appeared to be dropped completely, which is either an appalling tactical decision by the Portuguese Bishop Brennan or a damning indictment of the players' discipline and/or mentality.

As one of the comments on that article points out, what happened to all of the filth that they were dishing out? No comment, apparently.
That was my major worry with their subs, as Fellaini and Herrera are both absolute dirt merchants.
Trying to rile up some of our players seemed to be the major tactic for them after the break.
