Someone said it the other day we need to get behind the boys, so while I'm not enthralled with Slimani I'll back him because quite frankly he has to be better than Joselu. No excuses for Rafa now to play Joselu, he's got three strikers he wants and Joselu has to be 3rd choice now. If he starts a game between now and the end of the season barring an injury crisis I will find Rafa and Liam Neeson him! What is a good return for Slimani in the last 13 games now? 5-7 goals? Anymore than that I'll be impressed at least.
If I were him I'd want to finish the season with more goals than that useless piece of fly food we had to watch last night. I fully expect him to head back to Leicester having finished his loan spell with us as top scorer. We've created so many chances this season that Joselu and Gayle should have absolutely buried and any striker worth their salt would have done. I hope some ****er else is practising pelantees in training today whilst Joselu stands in the corner of the dressing room with his nose against the whiteboard !
This is why I went up to 7 - he'll equal Joselu and Gayle in the last 13 games opposed to their 41 appearances between them (if neither play again this season - which they shouldn't - but will).
Kenedy looks a cut above what we have. That left peg has real quality. Nice to have a deal ball taker for the first time in ages.

He comes across as very selfish (e.g. it will be good for me and for Newcastle) but this is trait top strikers need. "**** everyone else I'm here to score goals". Hopefully he can grab a few goals while he's here. Along with Kenedy, he also references "Goal" the movie
There are loads, but to be fair a lot of managers overlook the need to have a specialist dead ball taker. Rafa isn't the first to make this mistake. Pardew and Bobby knew the importance. They had two or three. Nobby, Shearer, Robert and Cabaye, HBA. Much underrated weapon by the more novice managers.
I thought he looked awesome and exactly what we need. Not scared to pick the ball up and run with it and beat players and try and get in behind them when he doesn't have the ball (for the penalty for example). He will do very well here and I'm confident he'll create plenty chances for Slim. His dead ball deliveries were brilliant, especially for the goal. I wanted him to take the free kick that Perez blazed over after he was fouled. Perez and Diame seemed to have a bit about them last night, hopefully they are raising their games now that they have some decent players alongside them. I remember playing golf a few years back with a really ****ing good golfer and I had the round of my life !!! Like it or not you raise your game when you're surrounded by quality ! It's just unfortunate that the few decent players we have at the club have been surrounded with a shower of ****e for so ****ing long.
Bloody hell. Pardew again, FFS? Didn't we go two years without scoring from a corner?! I think Rafa knows, most of our goals come from set plays, hence five for Lascelles and Clark. Kenedy, Shelvey, Ritchie, Merino, Atsu can all take 'em.
Just because you have a beautiful girlfriend at home don't diss someone fancying something less attractive. Everything's relative. In the valley of the blind etc. Perhaps he just needs a decent sized crowd to play in front of?
Yeah but there was that time he whispered softly in Cabaye's ear before he scored that Free Kick, so the man's a genius
I think he'll fit in a treat with you lot. He's got all the attributes to be a fan favourite IMO. Btw, he's completely ****ing nuts. Check this out; please log in to view this image
