I was so high after that I couldn't sleep, and not sleeping tends to burn calories. 107.5 kg this morning meaning although still officially 'obese', I'm closing in on only being 'over-weight', another 7.5 kg to go. 30.5 kg now lost since last August. Another benefit is that the $100 bet that I had with a Manure fan ($200 being held by a neutral) who was deluded enough to wager that Manure would take all 6 points off the Glorious and Mighty Tottenham Hotspur this season, is now won. This guy is in charge of the seat allocation for KLM at Kigali airport. I'm pretty confident that if I give him his $100 back, a nice free business-class upgrade will result on my next trip home. Those guys earn less than $1000 a month, so $100 will be a lot of money to him. So up, up and away. Do the same to the mousers at Klanfield on Sunday and we are in third, at least until the Chavs play on Monday and half of our 'difficult February' will be done and dusted. The future's bright, the future's lilywhite.

As I have said, few teams can go toe to toe with Spurs away, and busparquet is their only option (but it bloody works ) . As for Moura, scrutinising the Pochettino press chat on him I suspect that he will not be deemed fit enough for the Spurs regime for a while. I would not be surprised to see little of him in Feb, but he will be pushed to be starting XI fit from March onwards to support the run-in.
Having been suffering with 'flu, I haven't had much inclination to post. But I have to comment on this abject display by Utd. That was the most comfortable three points you will win all season. Any one of the other 18 PL teams would have provided stiffer opposition last night. Enjoy the three points, but it shouldn't give any indication of how you'll fare at Liverpool. Having conceded two bad goals, Utd just surrendered; the "team" was the opposite of everything SAF stood for. There was no fight, no desire, no belief, no confidence, no game plan, no team spirit, no work rate........nothing. It was as though they had accepted that they couldn't overturn a 2-0 deficit and were waiting for the next game. Given the timid performances against Liverpool, City and Chelsea earlier in the season, there seems to be a fear factor against last season's top four. one goal scored in 4 games v these teams (including Spurs) and little effort to attack these teams and score any more. You can spend loads of money on players who bring different qualities and have strength in depth in every position, but if you can't get anything from them when it's needed and there is no semblance of them performing as a team, you won't succeed as a manager. A good team will always beat a team of individuals.
If Pochettino sets up as he did against Dortmund and the Poool at Wembley, I believe Spurs will not lose.
Feeling a bit sore? Oh, I don't know. As usual, your ref had a pretty good game. There was a very familiar feel to the officiating. It was so badly stacked in United's favour that I'm not sure that Real Madrid got more given their way against us. All Alexis Sanchez had to do was fall over and it was a free kick. If we'd been playing pretty much anyone else, Dele would have got that penalty in the first half. I was about 130 yards away and it was blatant. Even Poll backtracked and admitted it was a penalty when he realised there wasn't an earner in it for him to blindly side with United.
The outcry on SM around Deles spat with Sanchez is great fun! Stoked by the media, ManUre fans up in arms claiming a red card whilst Gooners are lauding him. The only story here is that (notwithstanding the kick was petulant and worthy of a card), if excessive aggression were a pre-requisite for a sending off then Young and Valencia wouldn't have made halftime. Sanchez was given little or no space for 90 minutes, but apart from adopting the Ashley Young submarine tactics occasionally, was seldom actually fouled. This is what happens when your manager's gameplan of sit deep and try to counter is undone within 11 seconds. After that you're just playing into our hands, as despite some poor runs of form, we've only dropped 2 points from a winning position all season. Poor midfield, poor defence and a dangerous attack, I'd say United last night were a good indication of what we can do against Liverpool... and Arsenal for that matter. It just depends on if their attack play well enough to blow us away, like City did, or if we're abjectly poor, like we were at the Emirates. Pogba's similar to Toure and the problems City had with playing him in a deeper role in big games. Against fodder he can do well in midfield because the opposition will look to bypass that area in attacks but against better sides, he either needs to be pushed up to no 10, or played in a 3 man midfield where the extra man can cover his mistakes. The trouble is that you've invested heavily in forwards so there's not really room to add an extra midfielder.
@littleDinosaurLuke I have little doubt that The Git One’s tactical team talk before the game was “park the bus and then grab a lucky long range effort” like your first game against us this season. What Mourhino could not have counted on was us getting a goal in 11 seconds, and then pressing the Hell out of you for 90 minutes. It completely fcuked his game plan and he demonstrated, yet again, that he lacked the tactical ability to do anything about it. The man is a joke, and we exposed his incompetence.

I haven't seen it reported anywhere but a bloke at Wembley Stadium Station told me that Riyad Mahrez was at Wembley last night watching the game. Anyone else hear that?
Not that the most attackingest team ... in the world. Ever. needs to do so, but he may have been there gathering info in preparation for their visit in a few games time.
