Have heard of "last minute Reilly" but my goodness the Club are taking the biscuit tonight. Mitrović seems a bit of a nut case, in the nicest possible way of course. Whatever, he has good movement in the box and clearly brings a big wodge of experience.
I fear a bit with Mitrovic that the Refs in this division will have seen his reputation of retaliation and style of play and we may have to play some games with 10 men.
Aboubakar Kamara this season - 7 goals in 23 games. Aleksandar Mitrovic last season - 4 goals in 25 games. Still not entirely sure how this is an improvement on what we have, but time will tell.
The 1st clip I find of Mitrovic is this tackle against Matt Targett, will be a nice reunion in training tomorrow. Well at least they're not strangers, cup half full
He looks out of shape and obviously has not built much rapport with his teammates yet, but he had an encouraging debut. He had a header cleared off the line and used his physicality to good effect. He made a particular effort to thank his teammates for their attempted passes to him and would probably have had a goal at the end had he been in better shape/tactics (instead Johansen gave up on squaring the ball, which he was looking to do, and hit it past the goalkeeper instead). Plenty of time to go, but a good start.
