No I haven’t, that’s bollocks. I supported my earlier thoughts on Irvine and addressed your thoughts on three out of position players and offered reasoning for it. I never limited any reasoning to Adkin’s tenure as manager, that’s all yours. I also pointed out Irvine didn’t play LW for the full game. If you’re going to split hairs then crack on, it’s boring.
You said Adkins wasn’t in any way responsible for Irivine being ****, I just pointed out he was, he played him out of position. That’s not splitting hairs ffs.
I think we’re basically agreeing. We have a badly constructed and a poorly balanced squad. To stop the rot we had to defend better and we are doing that. But there is a cost, it’s a knock on effect, due to the squad. We haven’t really got any credible fullbacks, I made that observation very early in the season. But Adkins has to do something. Tomori is lightweight in the tackle and doesn’t give me any confidence he will be a decent CB - the ones we had did okay. We are **** at dead balls. Larsson isn’t the answer. Bowen taking corners isn’t either. Where did the GK, CBs or FBs let us down on the scoreline ? Look at midfield and attack. We’re not a great team, but neither were Leeds; we had no finish or luck, it really was that simple.
FB's and wide players provide the width. Because we have square pegs, it means we have no width. Defensively opponents set up narrow and its a piece of piss. I cant believe we haven't bought players to rectify this
haha... There miss at the death was almost as bad. A air shot with the goal at his mercy. We used a 'get out of jail free' card.
