She works for Thomson-Reuters but does absolutely nothing controversial. She was there on holiday with her infant daughter. She was basically kidnapped by the state over there because they wanted some leverage over the UK for some allegedly unpaid bill from years ago. I have difficulty comprehending that there's so much spite towards Plummer, but Nazanin's case is a whole other level of wrong and it's an absolute disgrace on a human level what has happened to her.

People keep referring to this Paracetamol packets thing, despite the court papers confirming she made no attempt to hide them in her suitcase (hence the court believing she was no drug mule and instead sentencing her for possession).

They've subsequently said they're pissed off, but the story about her being released early didn't originally come from them. It was obviously still stupid to say they were double crossed, it seems there was never a pardon agreed. Sadly, I think stupidity probably runs in the family.
