I'm dubious anyone has said anything as all of our players are very good at not saying anything out of order publicly. I'd be surprised if they weren't angry though, I am if he's just not turned up. Tonight's game is important in our push for a European place , especially in light of the Arsenal result last night.

Would take Foden and Tosin but only on permenant deals. None of this we’ll buy your best player and send you a kid on loan ****

    I'd take Tosin and Zinchenko + 60m.

Im not liking that its £65m including a player, no doubt they have overpriced their players value, so its something like Mangala and £20m.

Give us £65m plus a good youth prospect and then your talking.

Am reading cash plus player and it is most likely Mangala who is 26.

They priced Mangala at £30M when Stoke went sniffing last summer.

Tosin, Zinchenko, Foden and scrap the buy back clause on Nacho as well as no buy backs on any of the others and I’d even take minimal cash tbh

    BREAKING NEWS

Manchester City are not going to pursue a deal for Riyad Mahrez and any move is off, Sky Sports News understands.

I don't think he'll be in the running for players' player of the year award this year.

Actions speak louder than words, and if anyone was ever in doubt about Riyad's attitude to the team and team mates then they've seen him for what he is now. The only thing he gives a t0ss about is himself.

I can understand his frustration at the move breaking down, but going awol and missing training while the deal was still on the table was just unprofessional and selfish. He has to realise that he has signed a long term deal and is happy to take his £100k every week, but that comes with responsibilities and obligations. As a minimum he should be fined the maximum the club can throw at him.

My thoughts - for what they are worth.

We need a bit of perspective and not to crucify the lad now because of his immediate reactions (if actually true) to his disappointment at not getting his move.

The events of the last few days have been a bit **** for us as a club as they have undoubtedly adversely affected the positive momentum we were building

BUT - Mahrez was pursued by Manchester City who will be regular Champions League participants for the next decade and are likely to challenge for the title here every season. Can we really blame him for wanting to move to them? - would have set him and his family up for life and, on the football front, would have been a move to what (given their backing) will be one of the world's Super Clubs over the next decade.

He now needs to put the disappointment behind him and convince Pep (or another huge club) to come in and get him in the summer - because he owes us for having given him the perfect stage to show his ability - plus he is still under a very lucrative contract.

Mahrez is a top player but for some reason he thinks the club owe him to sell him on the cheap

Had Man City or Roma in the summer offered us the going rate for someone of his quality we would have let him go. But neither did

The irony is had Man City made that bid in the summer he would he left

From his perspective he was one of the key factors that brought the title success - plus we have 'allowed' Kante and Drinky to move on to a 'bigger' club - IMHO one of the biggest problems us fans have with players is that we credit them with too much intelligence, guile, and also deviousness.

I've met quite a few pros over my lifetime and the vast majority wouldn't make key picks for a pub quiz team <laugh> ...

Some complete twat caller on the radio last night was passionately arguing that we should be so grateful for Mahrez helping us win the league that we should have let him go to City on a free ... and the dull **** was actually being serious <doh> ... yes ... we once won something, should be satisfied with that and never have any ambition of winning anything again <doh>
