He's exactly the sort of player you need in a relegation battle. He's an easy target for some on here. He's not the most gifted player, but he works tirelessly for the team. We need that more than anything else. Plus he's not often injured, which is more than can be said for most of our 'squad'.
Barnsley are moneyballing it, that means finding players that are undervalued. Hernandez won't be undervalued (actually he would be if they managed to get him to go there).
He will with not much time remaining on his contract. Say we got this injured defender and £1m for a striker with 6 months contract remaining? Ehab would take that I'm sure.
I agree. It MIGHT be complete coincidence but haven't we won the last 3 times Dio has started (Bolton at home and the 2 cup matches) . I do think he works the oppostions defence hard and creates chances for others. But I suspect he's out of favour and on his way.
Nobody's going to pay money for a player, when he's out for half of the rest of the season, he's going nowhere until the summer (fortunately).
Do we get a smaller parachute payment next season if we’re relegated? If not then it makes sense as a non-football decision. As well as a fee that we don’t get in June, we get his wages off the payroll for an extra 4 months. But it’s hypothetical, the player won’t go to Barnsley.
Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham #hcafc's attempts to sign Rolando Aarons have been complicated by competition from elsewhere. City had been hopeful of a loan but there's overseas interest. Verona one club touted.
With a new set of studs, he could be alright. You wouldn't believe that the Allams cost savings mean we can't even buy new studs, never mind a new player.
