Can anyone explain to me how Hull's Dicko missed from a yard out last night?

Morning all. Hope we get seven or eight in today because frankly our present lot are rubbish. Analyise all you like. Pick out little glimmers of hope from cameo appearances now and again. Against a hopeless Hull team last night we were second best and to be honest we wouldn’t get promoted from League 2 if we were in it

A great save by Felix saw the ball palm up onto the top of Dickos head which then flew over the bar.

Felix, LVB, Pontus, Foreshaw & Lassoga were the only positives last night. The rest couldn't pass, couldn't tackle, ball in the air too often like a bagatelle. If that's what top 6 football looks like that's season over. Lets be fair we have been garbage ever since we got beaten for the first time. When we've won a game its been a sloppy ugly win.

Really pleased the lads had some warm weather training, just wish we could see the benefits

Seems Lonegran drove up to Sunderland last night and young Roberts has a medical today, so the Sturridge move broke the log jam.

    Morning all...

Firstly I admit to not seeing any of the game but a few things to remember...

Ayling, Saiz, Phillips, Cooper, Ekuban they are all starters and were all missing, we know from our FA cup exit how poor we can be when we rely on the backup.

We had half the first team unavailable last night. We know we rely heavily on Saiz and although the day is not over, there were quite a few saying we were going to lose Saiz during this window.

From reports I have read it sounds like our keeper had a very good game, hopefully he is improving and gaining in confidence.

Away to Hull is never easy, I’m as unhappy as the next man that we are not playing great and we’re outside the top 6 but I still see this as a building and learning season, we’re so far away from being ready for the PL maybe it’s a blessing.

A lot of these players will be better next season for their experiences this time around. Rads will have some massive decisions to make in regards to ambition, Investment, Orta and Thomas but he’ll be making them with no other “club running” distractions in place.

What I mean by that is he has brought the ground, he has appointed everyone he needs to behind the scenes, he has hopefully learned a few lessons himself in the last 18 months, I believe as a club this season is still one step forward and no steps back, that’s a pleasant change.

In regards to the warm weather training it still all stems back to that diabolical display, team selection, decisions and disrespect towards the FA cup game. That game is now part of a long run of no wins in... We might as well have tried to win it and we might as well have had an extra cup game.

Pontus is one card away from suspension but Pennington will be ok for Cardiff, but potentially we may have to use one of the U23 CBs, maybe the kid from Ajax? Have we ever had 5 players on suspension at the same time, if Pontus picks up a yellow at Cardiff match?

It was shocking Ristac but anyway, a few points. Our team was depleted by mainly players stupidity. The bulk of the players on show were signed by Rad and his backroom team. Just because hes put people in place, doesnt mean they are any good at their jobs. When weve had our best eleven out, performances have been no better. People are clutching at straws. Im not bothered whether Im called pessimistic or not at this point but a blind man could see how poor the current setup is. Eddy Gray trying to get excited about Sackho coming on last night for last five minutes.. FFS Sackho shouldnt even be at the club. Well likely finish a dozen points behind last season and yet some will claim well have progressed. Buying the ground was a great thing but pales into insignificance when you see the on field performances. Personally, I only care about the first team performances anyway

But you need the infrastructure in place first, you need to lay a foundation to build on, the foundations that were eroded away by Cellino, GFH and Bates. It would be unrealistic to expect any owner to get it all done in one season.

I did say Rads has some massive decisions in regards to Thomas and Orta, he needs to decide are both at fault, is it poor quality coaching or poor quality signings?

I don’t see Rads as long term Leeds, he is the guy I see as getting us ship shape, rid of the cupboard ghosts, the guy making the next round of due diligence a breeze.

This season is learning and infrastructure with a few handy additions, next season I’d like to see us mounting a serious challenge then I see Rads as enjoying one season in the PL before selling us to the next Billionaire.

If it doesn’t happen that way then we’ll never see us challenging for the PL again as the only way to do it is with mass investment, I haven’t got 100 years left to witness and hope we could be the next Leicester.

I presume the focus is now on building for next season (again). As a customer of Leeds Utd, before I commit to another season of disappointment I would like a few questions answered with straight forward yes or no answers.
1 do we intend to keep the manager?
2 do we intend to keep orta?
3 will we look to recruit proven championship/lower prem players?
4 are we going to continue scouting 2nd & 3rd tier foreign leagues for cheap fixes
If the answers are 1yes 2yes 3no 4yes I'm afraid that is me done. I've been a supporter since 1978 but if we carry on down this path I'm out. Will still obviously take an interest but not willing to piss money away week upon week for the product that's being served up now.

Thank you, I thought it was two games each, never realised Cooper was 4. I never thought I’d see the day where I would say we will miss Cooper.

Im probably older than you Ristac, Im 56 so clock also ticking. Problem I see is Rad knows how to run certain businesses and is good at pr. He knows nothing about football (his words) but is dependent on those around him to sort that end out. Orta Kinnear and TC clearly wont rock the boat as theyre looking after themselves so who is going to point out to Rad that his appointments arent working. Ive a feeling, if or when the home crowds start dropping off and receipts are down, he may begin to wake up. At least he has said its a four year project and if he doesnt get promotion in that time hell be selling up. Thats fair enough for me, theres only three left. Hopefully he will pull off a miracle i that timescale
