What I cant understand is the Newcastle desire to be on this board? Look at the browsers watching this thread. Many I don't know but by their names are NUFC fans. Whats the attraction? I have no need or desire to be on their board - not even to crow at their misfortunes (and there are many). It does engender hatred (and I use that word cautiously) and a desire for revenge. Now, I cant wait for them to lose Barton and need us to win at Sid James. Even so, I don't fancy going onto their board about it. I have looked at other boards - Spurs when there was transfer gossip involving us; Stoke's before the cup final..... but only for information, not to abuse. What is wrong, exactly about animosity towards Newcastle on a SUNDERLAND board? x
Sorry to disappoint you, but this is also on the Newcastle board, why do some Sunderland fans not realise that people are putting threads on both the Sunderland and Newcastle boards. Plus this is one of the best discussions on here tonight. Edit you've noticed an apologised so I apologise back.
it's on our board as well will quote what i said earlier edit: saw the apology but still think the cross board threads should be binned got enough doom/gloom merchants and nob heads of our own without others from other boards joining in
Passion is fine. Petty name calling and pathetic playground stuff is not. Going back to this OP, we should be able to police ourselves and not have to rely on the mods to sort disputes out. It is about personal responsibility and having a bit of self discipline even in the face of actual, or perceived, provocation. Syd asks for help so here are a couple of my suggestions: 1) Before you post just stop and ask yourself (honestly) "Would I say this to (insert name of poster) face or am I taking advantage of the anonymity of an internet forum?" 2) Try not to write articles in the heat of the moment. If you are angry, like so many of us were last night (more annoyed than Saturday I think) then write a response and save it to Word or something but don't post it till you have slept on it and re-read it. I would like to bet that 99% of us would tone it down. Of course we are going to use these boards to vent our frustrations about the team, the manager or the club in general, but taking it out on each other and the mods, is just not on. We have to be better than that. End of sermon! Edit: Sorry! Didn't realise this was on Newcastle board as well. Now I know what a cross-board thread is!
Can I just say I am usually considered a bright guy. I have qualifications and everything. Its these word-machine thingies I have problems with. x

I haven't noticed him before! Ah well, to be fair I reckon any username aimed at rival fans is only gonna be met with fire. If I changed my username to "All Mackems Are Bastards" would it be more frowned upon?
