  1. Not this week

    16.7%
  2. This one, but only just

    33.3%
  3. We'll hammer them and then go on a 13 game winning streak

    33.3%
  4. I'll answer when i've seen if Can is captain or not

    16.7%

LFC current point trend 74 points.

    not bad.

the only way to really put this is with a range

If we took 1 point per game we would end on 61 points.
If we take 3 point per game thats 89 points.

    A wide range?

Ok how about 6 points out of 12 then? I think everyone would be disappointed if that was the case. thats 1.5 per game = 68 points

Then 2.0 points per game which is our best form runs all year. Thats 75 points.

    so...... 68-75 points.

if we applied the same logic to spurs they should get within that same window more or less. However arsenal on 42 points now need 1.8 points per game to get 68 points and 2 per game for 70.

We NEED to pick up points consistently but also see spurs **** up to be in any way comfortable right to the end of season just to scrape god damned 4th (again)

I'd love spurs to lose 3 in a row here and by extension LFC win 3 in a row and then its gravy.

If we win the next 3 that range shifts to 73 to 78 points for us as the games run out

But for spurs.... they would need 2.6 points per game form final 11.

The message is clear. If we beat spurs its massive for us. If we can win the other two games as well and ok maybe they don't lose all 3 but it'd be very hard for them to get back into it.

Tomorrow you'd like Spurs beaten wouldn't you? :bandit:

If we won and they lose that would put serious distance between us. However emotion does play a part. We may well want and need CL football but we just can't bear the mancs winning. That's what most of us feel, whether we like it or not.

I don't think Spurs and Arsenal will go away. Hope they do but I can see them lasting the distance. Arsenal will win all their remaining home games against the bottom 14 clubs. They may struggle against the better teams away but with Mhikhitarian and Aubemayang playing for them they will finish strongly. Spurs will always be able to score with Eriksen Alli and kane playing at the front.

This season, I honestly don't think 75-76 would be enough to get 4th place. It might need 80+. In this league the ones that can score goals against massed defence will benefit. Teams like City who beat teams even before the match starts home and away.

You're an idiot if you think Man Utd winning is good for us.

I want us as close as possible to the top the league on the last day of the season, not just on Thursday.

Give me an honest answer.. if you can!

Ok you don't want the mancs to win. Fair enough. Which would you prefer (for yourself): The mancs beaten or a draw?

A draw is acceptable but Mancs beaten is the best outcome.

i want them both to lose but even with the vagaries of VAR i cannot come up with a scenario which leads to that so go for a goalless draw

with 4 set off from each team after mass brawl <laugh>

    **** yes.

My point is as games start running out their best finihs gets lower.

    example:

Spurs on 45 points with 14 to go = 73 at 2 per game.
Spurs on 45 with 13 to go = 71 at 2 per game.
Spurs on 45 with 12 to go.... 69 at 2 per game.

Same for us though. If you have gone on at about 2 points per game then suddenly you need to do win every game just to catch up. its bloody hard

the reality is however whoever of us goes on a run of 5/6 wins now will get top 4 IMO. all it takes is a burst of good form now to burn off the dross.

thats why LFc fans are worried imo. swansea shows the cracks. west brom blows the wide open. every small side should have hope playing LFC. none of them can afford at this point a throw away game where they don't try. So if you have hope and NEED 3 points LFC are the team to go for.

If spurs could by some miralcel lose both game this week... that'd be ace.. IF LFc win today.

Astro is deluded if he thinks anyone but utd are going to be second in this league.

CLEARLY LFC supporters should be delighted if utd beat spurs.

From here on in in this season we are just looking over our shoulder hoping not to be caught and awaiting the inevitable in the CL.

once more we are facing into a long slow dull dragged out end to season with nothing but falling over a line to look forward to.

no trophy hopes, nothing but a dotted line on a table that says 4th = mega stars and 5th = nobodies (in the minds of some)

seriously one of the reasons i was against the VVD signing was we couldn't be sure of how he had recovered from the injury. I also think that even now you could buy a decent quality CB & CM for about the same cost as VVD.

    No refunds <whistle>

In seriousness though good luck tonight. Said earlier in the season that some people were getting way too carried away and they've been dropping for a while now.

Well organised team with a good manager but (like half the teams in the league) are bang average in reality and you should win this fairly comfortably.

If you want to completely thrash and demoralise them too then that'd be great cheers <ok>

We've already given you a ****load of money for gash players and even then you called us bad names for it.
We might deliberately lose tonight out of spite. Unless you promise to roll over when we play you in a couple of weeks, of course.
