The latter. Until I get the message from the official City website confirming a signing, I don't believe a word of anything stated in the press.
All gone very quiet on the striker front. Grabban has a bit of history in stringing out deals to his best advantage. I suspect we have reached agreement with Bournemouth but Grabban is holding out to see if a better deal comes along from elsewhere. He's not known down there as Money Grabban without reason. And that is why we are keeping our options open with McGoldrick.
Yeah I know. It's okay having these fliers out wide but getting the ball to them where they can be effective is the problem . NML showed them a clean pair of heels early on but then had Danielo attached to him like a Siamese twin until he got subbed. Feeney did him a couple of times though . Do we really need 5 or 6 wingers though or is Wildschut going to play central/No. 10?
Warnock obviously has a plan. Hope it involves scoring a few more goals. Wouldn't be too disappinted provided he can play on the left.
The merrygoround has started again............ http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/01/30/por-cardiff-back-in-for-boltons-madine/
Is this a political move the get grabban to react? Not convinced on madine. Would rather stick with what we'e got.
Don't want Madine. I'm just hoping someone comes in out of the blue - someone that hasn't even been mentioned in the media to surprise us all.
Grabban's money demands I would guess. I would prefer Madine to McGoldrick or the no mark French guy mentioned last week.
When you put it like that, yeah. Agreed, but I think anyone less than Grabban will be so underwhelming.
Agreed. I see both Meite and Healey played for the Dev team yesterday in their 1-0 win away at Coventry and Meite got the goal. Unless we're going to pay serious bucks for a proven striker at this level, it may be as well to persevere with Zohore and Bogle and let Meite or/and Healey be options alongside either or off the bench. Wildschut, Hoilett and Mendez are all threats up front but that's only half the answer. Grujic needs to come good in midfield alongside Ralls to get the ball to these guys otherwise it doesn't matter who you bring in if they don't get the service.
What’s worrying is other clubs around us have or will be spending big money whereas we aren’t. It’s amazing City are 3rd without a regular goal scorer in attack or in midfield; rather making do with the odd goal here and there and up until last month relying largely on the defence. Now really is the time for the club to take a gamble and spend money on quality proven players so as not to waste the position the club is in. Without an injection of players I can see City just running out of steam. It happened under Dave Jones time and time again; promising positions in January wasted. Jon Parkin for example Less than 36 hours to go. I’m not holding my breath though
My point exactly. I don't understand why you would want to bring in someone like Medine when there are already strikers at our club with (imo) the same ability.
