    He was made captain for this season, but after getting banned for three games early in the season, he then went on the get injured and he hasn't been able to break back into the team.

    It looks like we'll find out if he's any good, a deal for MacDonald was agreed last night apparently.

    H'mm. Bloke with dodgy attitude, not match fit, possibly ill and can't get into a relegation rival's team. I just hope he was cheap <doh>

    Save a couple of £100k on transfer and buy someone who might never be able to play again, rather than spending a little more and buying someone who is already playing with a better re-sale value. Ehab logic.

    We could do with a bit of a hard case and leader in the team.
    Our lot appear to need constant cuddles after being up all night playing Fifa.
    The team is soft and in a relegation battle we need more.

    Reckon Tom's played a few more games than MacDonald and there's a difference between nutting somebody and picking up a couple of yellows. Anyway, time will tell and I really hope I'm wrong.

    Tom actually got two straight reds and that was just for us in the Premier League (he got two more for picking up two yellows for us the Premier League as well).

    Middlesbrough want rid of Johnson and Adam Clayton. We should be after Clayton, he’s a right nasty bastard. Would be ideal.

    Agree.
    But ...... this one doesn't make sense to me i.e. Barnsley happy to get rid, us now doing things on the cheap meaning they are likely to be giving him away, not match fit, unable to get into their starting line up, health issue etc. Seems very possible that there's good reason(s) why they want rid; just hope we are not getting shafted ?
