Started watching Dexter as I missed it first time around, enjoying it at present. Whether I can manage all 96 episodes is another question.
Get better each season til about season 4. I personally thought season 5 and 6 were okay but not as good. 7 and 8 were just garbage and that ending jeeeesus
The last series was utter tosh and made very little sense. Plus I really dislike Charlotte Rampling and the way she says Psychopaths, a word her character said in just about every sentence.
Last two nights I've seen The Post and The Shape Of Water. Post okay, but I can't see why she's being nominated for an Oscar, and TSOW quirky, a bit like Edward Scissorhands, in a way. Finally watching Darkest Hour tonight as I've downloaded a screener copy.
Been watching the fresh Prince of bel air on Netflix last few nights, still funny. Saw captain Phillips last night, was pretty good 7/10
Back on the subject of Vikings ... I thought that mid-season finale was decent-good but it left me underwhelmed. Think they should've knocked off one or two of the main characters as well as the B characters but obviously they follow the history a little bit so can't necessarily do that The bro on bro moment was satisfying dramatically Wanted to see more of a fight between Ragnar's lads and a bigger scale battle honestly The constant flashback stuff kind of worked at times and really didn't at others Great to se Rollo back though And glad Floki's story in Iceland has finally got interesting and some drive behind it, want to see this developed into the foundation of the country and everything now
i've enjoyed it as i have all of them, but found it patchy in 2-3 episodes whereas other series i thought all the episodes were good or better, i miss the old ragnar / roll raiding days but i really like how the show easily introduces and integrates solid, interesting new characters and keeps momentum
