Moura is a good signing for Spurs. Much better than what they've got currently. Was hoping Arsenal would be in for him, but with Mikhitaryan, Aubameyang and Lacazette, as well as Welbeck, Iwobi and Ozil who can all play wide, I don't think there was going to be room for him
The Moura signing for 25m looks a very nice peice of business if you ask me, especially as hes only 25. I did think he was older than that to be honest. That looks a bargain though. Arsenal have done well in getting Aubamayang, I watch loads of Bundesliga, and he is quality. He has lightning pace, probably the fastest player in world football at the moment, and he's pretty clinical when he gets chances. He's also pretty decent in the air to, scores quite a few headers, from clever movement in the box. I think it's just what Arsenal needs, and Wenger needed to make a big signing just to keep the fans from rioting at the next match Arsenal have paid a big fee, but in modern day football, you've got to pay over the top for every star player. If you don't you'll get left behind, like Arsenal have been in recent years. I wonder if this is a sign that the Arsenal board are now beginning to realise that they need to start splashing the cash if they are going to get Arsenal back into the Champions League.
I don’t know or care but I watched Woking against Posh and we should have won. They were so impressed that they signed one of our best players.
So long as it does get done, Moura's a great signing for us and at £25m it's also great business. It's a pretty tasty thought to have Son and him on the wings, Eriksen behind Kane with Alli dropped deeper into CM alongside a DM of either Dier or Wanyama. Arsenal getting Auba is a top signing though and if they can get Lacazette to find consistent form then a trio of him, Auba and Ozil will be very deadly. Chelsea apparently offered us a swap deal of Batsuayi for Llorente, we accepted but Batshuayi didn't fancy being a second choice player again and wants to go Dortmund to replace Auba.
Seems like there is abit of a chain reaction of strikers going on with Chelsea, Arsenal and Dortmund. Aubamayang to Arsenal, Batshuyi to Dortmund, and Giroud to Chelsea. All are reluctant to let a striker go until their new striker is confirmed. This could get interesting
He's going to find it tough to get into that team on the left ahead of Mkhitaryan/Lacazette and if we play as 3-5-2 then I don't think there's a place for him tbh
I'd rather Welbeck than Mkhitaryan, as atleast he puts a shift in. I still don't see how you are going to play both Ozil and Mkhi in the same team.
All about opinions of course ... but if Arsenal get Aubamayeng then the partnership of him and Mkhitaryan that was so effective at Dortmund is back together ... add Ozil and Lacazette to that and, personally, I'd be pretty optimistic if I was an Arsenal fan ...
The point I was actually making is that we have come on light years from where we have usually been in terms of squad depth and quality ... even in our title year we would have been capable of being turned over in the cup when fielding 'squad' players - happened last season at Millwall ... but we now have quality competition for just about every position ... so much so that we are looking to ship people out ... unheard of at LCFC. Add to that, Peterborough had gone to promotion chasing Villa in the previous round and given them a bit of a schooling, John Terry and all.... - course we will now lose at home to Sheff United in the next round
Sheff Utd fans genuinely think we are arrogant for being confident we can beat them just had one of my Blades colleagues telling me they are much stronger than when we did them 4-1 in the league cup. I had to break it to him that so are we. Put it this way, only we can beat ourselves with the wrong selection and attitude in the game
Ozil and Mhkitaryan can play either as LWF and RWF in a front 3, or Ozil can play as a no 10 with Mkitarayan wide left.
I think the point you were making was that a United fan was wondering why you was so excited at beating a League 1 team so for some reason that prompted you to ask what league Newport are in You had a traumatic week last week so you're forgiven
Yeah your national stadium You can all shove it up your arse once we done with it and moved into our brand spanker
