if either take him they are mad... but hey... the multi millionaire deserves a second chance at a career i suppose....
I dont mind selling Sturridge if there’s an adequate replacement lined up. He is still our best back up striker at the club with more goals and assists than Solanke and Ings combined. He may not be the player he once was but the guy is still quality on the ball and one of the few players who is confident in tight spaces in and around the box.
I agree with your assessment of him but quite simply we cannot rely on him to be fit so Solanke gets ahead of him. The Ings thing is odd, he is so off the pace that his inclusion is daft, loan him out and see if he's worth taking back in the Summer.
Yep, the injuries are annoying and that’s why I would like to get rid of him permanently... just as long as we have a replacement. Getting rid of his wages will be huge and that’s why I’m hoping we have someone incoming this month.
Why do we care about getting rid of wages? It's not like it's a necessity before bringing in new players which is what we should be focussed on. We don't seem to get new players when we've just sold a player for £140m so why does freeing up wages factor in at all?
We sniffed around Moura in the summer and should have got him then. Definitely should have been in for him at that price in January! Christ. Not Klopp's plan A, but who cares? Right now, we just need squad options because if Sturridge goes (and he should do) our list of backup forward players is embarrassing; Ings, Solanke and one of Lallana or Ox. That's relegation worthy backup!
because £75m got passed to Southampton and the payment for Couts included a number of add ons with the set fee approx £110m being paid in instalments.
Call me crazy, but I'd like to think our ambitions stretched a bit higher than beating a fat Sam team...
Considering you lot were "winning" the transfer window at the start of January it must be a bit deflating for you now with just 2 days to go.
