Another way to look at this - as I just did - is it could quite conceivably be the last time we play at Stamford Bridge as is. I’d therefore made the decision to go, before a full 30 seconds later I realised I’m off to Edinburgh that weekend.

It is common practice not to let loan players play against parent club. I think 99% practice this.

I just said it doesn’t say that. Chelsea own the players, they can recall them tomorrow if they want. This has already been proven as Conte was asked if he intended to.

 

They can’t play against parent clubs in the PL but can in the FA Cup.
