I liked the line about their reasons for showing fans they’re trying to sign someone. Could have described it as ‘pretending’ but we know what he meant
Just as a comparative measure, Barnsley bought Liam Lindsay from Partick Thistle for £350K, a player with more experience at a higher level. Aberdeen of course are a much better side and are competing at the top end of the league, but there's only a year's difference between the both of them. Scottish clubs are no mugs, look what we had to pay to get Robertson from Dundee United.
Oh and one of the players I went to look at in my now infamous trip to Finland, is the leading goalscorer in the SPL at the moment. He cost just £1m. He'll be brilliant in the future, he already stands out in the SPL.
Everton and Newcastle join Brighton and Burnley in scouting Jarrod Bowen... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...n-Burnley-eye-Jarrod-Bowen.html#ixzz55YlmfFYg
There's no Plan B because there never was a Plan A - the village idiot is incapable of putting together a coherent strategy - some people assume he has some level of insight and intelligence - he doesn't
Plan a is to wring as much cash as they can out of the club before dumping the drained carcass into league two and administration.all seems to be going to plan as far as I can see.
You greatly underestimate the Allams, the Airco Arena, gate gate, the sacking of the groundsmen, moving off screen the hooligan element, driving away the most vociferous supporters, the membership scheme, the lack of concessions, the name change, and the list goes one of all the things you would think they can't get away with but did. With the ever increasing gap between those in the Premier League including those getting parachute payments and the rest the Allams have given up the opportunity to stay up there with the richer clubs and chosen to become a club in a lower league with no more valuable assets / players. How low are they prepared to let Hull City go before really getting out? We are not where we are because of a bit of bad luck this is a plan in action.
And I think your over estimating them - they think their wealth gets them what they want - Hull City has been a massive PR **** up for them - they've had to go cap in hand to the council for favours - they've had to ask for a fans amnesty so no one messes up his visit from the queen - according to all their amalgamated accounts there's net liabilities of around £30 million - he's in a mess
I do think we'll bring in a couple. Ehab loves to leave it late probably for the drama but it's not particularly amusing now it's the 4th (?) window he's done so.
How ling have the Allams been at the helm ? And how many times have we entered a transfer window with a plan A plan B or even a plan ? Those of you that are cursing their lack of foresight must have had your eyes shut during previous windows. When it comes to footballing matters they are clueless .. with Bruce in charge he at least had the contacts to bail us out of the shyte at times and leaned on his relationship with Poppa Allam to get them through (the Gray signing aside). It is abundantly clear they do not wish to invest in our club anymore. All this cloak and dagger tactics with meets with fan groups and HCC is just a smokescreen and lip service to allow them to carry out their only plan .. i.e. recoup as much money as they can. It appears to me the way they have treat potential new owners showing interest is testament to their unwillingness to sell before they lead us into ruination.. and thereby exacting their spiteful revenge on all of us who actually hold the club close to our hearts. Unfortunately we are stuck with this until they feel they have got the revenge they feel they deserve. However what these Muppets fail to realise is that the supporters are the life blood of the club .. we will remain long after they have done one .. and their legacy will be shown as one which highlights sulkiness bitterness an inability to listen to anyone other then themselves and greed.
