pj said that he talked to a player (bullard i think) who stated that all he wanted to do was play football. pj told him that he could play for free if he wanted. ofcourse the player replied no way. ITS JUST A JOB TO THEM. Players want to get to the big clubs, first team etc for the money first and personal pride second, pride in the club is a long way behind in their minds. Again, only in my opinion.

Not sure Plummy, him and Carra do seem to really love their club. Something not many players show these days. What about what Bellamy did last year for Cardiff, that was all about playing for his team (and probably Man City not wanting him to go to another prem team)
Bellamy did play for the club he supported yes but with the wage that he was being paid by Man City. I don't think that it is wrong to want to get paid as much as you can but lets not be fooled into thinking that its not the prime concern. I have no doubt that Gerrard is a Liverpool fan but if he was a GRIMSBY fan would he be playing for them??????????????
Probably not. The days of wanting to play for 'your' team regardless of league are gone. But just like anyone else you want to earn more and take care of your family. I'm sure Stevie could've made even more had he moved but he has stuck with Liverpool, having said that it's not like he's making bad money anyway.
I'm sure he has not been offered to much more than what he gets anyway so feigning loyalty is easier for some i guess.
You ever seen any strong speculation or bids for him? A couple of shallow rumours a couple of years ago but for someone as good as him it's not like someone's trying to buy him every transfer window is it?
maybe he loves his club so much that he plays for a bag of pork scratchings every game, just a thought.
