Unfortunately the horizon is the one you can see the moon Titania rise over from the surface of Uranus.
I seem to remember you saying this about both Ramsey and JFH. I seriously doubt Ramsey would want the job back, but if he does and thinks he can keep us up this season, and Ollie resigns, we have an in house replacement that shouldn't cost too much.
Ramsey is better placed with the youngsters. he was out of his depth as a manager. Having a look around, Monk is out of work, Clement, Slaven Bilic - all managers with a point to prove - however.....my preference is still Silva (although unlikely as it is) he someone else that has a point to prove. One minute on Everton's list of potential new managers then getting sacked. Purely out of interest, if Ferdinand didn't want Ollie as manager, who did he want or was that name never mentioned?
TBH Oslo I have made my stand on all of them in the past including Harry who should have gone after that Play-off final. This is not 'I told you so', as we are past that now. This is about survival of our club. If anyone thinks TF and Mittals will hang around if we are in League One they are deluded. Mittals only at Prem games and stuff on TV. We all know this TF project has been an almighty F22k up. It's now just damage limitation. For me I would sack Hollow and bring in Clement until end of season or if he is not interested, Benny and McClaren as coach. Or Gerry Frances. if all that fails I would appoint Jude the Cat.
With the current FFP assessment problem, I'm far from sure we can afford to sack Holloway and/or Ferdinand and bring in the likes of Clement, Francis or McClaren. Possibly right now we cannot afford to sack Ollie or Ferdinand because of their contractual pay offs, full stop.
It's amazing how easy people make it all sound "I would sack Ollie and bring in X or Y with Z as coach" it's just not that simple is it. We can't afford a packet of crisps in the window and we are potentially going to breach FFP again. What makes people think we could afford a costly managerial change? Ollie would still be being paid whilst we then also start paying his replacement. Are the likes of Monk or Clement going to work for peanuts? Much as many might want it, I don't see it happening. Survive the season and reassess where we are in the summer seems the only option in the circumstances.
Sadly this I anticipate us limping across the line in May, retaining our Championship status However, I think that our better players will be picked off by better teams in the division in the summer transfer window and that the club will have to let them move on as we'll need the cash next season Depressing but our foray into the Premier League has really come home to roost
? Sorry i am lost here. How do you know exactly what our club can and cant do? How are you privy to the FFP fine or what we can afford? None of us know so don't speculate. It will cost us a lot more if we are relegated because we haven't sacked Hollow, that is a fact. Everything else is pure speculation.
It is not the cost per se, but yes we are financially challenged, but having a second FFP offence, when we are fighting the 50 million fine for the first one would be catastrophic and possibly terminal for the club And no I do not know the exact finances, but the way we are acting, gives us a very strong indication of our situation. I think if sacking Ollie and Les pushes our spending over the limit......... Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Not talking about the FFP fine, if you listen to the likes of Dave Mac we are close to the limit again, meaning potentially a further breach on top of what we already have. If Ollie goes he gets either a pay off or his wages continuing to be paid on top of whatever the new gaffer gets. I'm not privy to sh*t but it's abundantly clear we can't afford anything at present. It's an impossible situation, a financially costly managerial change now or hope we scrape survival with what we've got, either one is a risk.
What's left on his contract, 18 months? If he loves the Rs as much as he says, maybe he'll fall on his sword.
This is what I am hoping for. I was really pleased when Ollie (and Birch) got the job, but it just hasn't worked. Time to move on, Ollie.
I think it's already been discussed but maybe the thing Ollie is lacking is an experienced right hand man to temper some of his wilder decisions. We all love Birch for his playing days and hooped blood but is he out of his depth at this level?
I’m not hiding and support Holloway to the end of the season. Made my point clear that the target is nothing more than league status If that happens then for me job done Still want a man with the passion for a club in real trouble. Sod the football style it’s just 3 points each game and certainly felt we would get nothing from last two ... we can’t score and until that goes better then it’s limbo If we were adrift then of course then I would vote out now but we aren’t adrift so keep calm and carry on
Holloway not out now Holloway out at the end of the season? Let’s wait until the end of the season hopefully then TF will go and sell to a new vision of a club Does get me down when you look at other clubs doing things the right way with modern stadiums etc.
Why wait and alienate even more fans. It's ****e. Fans are fed up and sick of paying hard earned money to watch **** after **** week after week. Twitter is going into meltdown over it
