Got a Roberts Radio Stream 94i last week. I now have access to a seemingly infinite number of radio stations from all over the world sorted into genres. Any suggestions for good news, sport, music (80s genre) channels or even podcasts?
You should be able to get the QPR Podcast every week, though I'd imagine this weeks one will be a thrill-a-minute after yesterdays result! Tons of 80s music station, Mrs sometimes listens to Absolute 80s on the DAB which covers most of the popular songs of that decade.
Been with Planet Rock well over ten years now, even got one of their Marshall radios, volume goes up to 11...
Some time ago I started exploring different internet stations and I was blown away with the amount of stations from some based in NY playing classical stuff to some bloke in Louisianna playing Cagan music with 4 listeners. You can get some amazing stuff online.
Just looked at a 93i on Amazon here for $45 (no 94i) does anyone know if there's much difference between the two?
Before we got our digital radio alarm I was woken up every morning by Radio 2 and Vanessa Feltz (yuck) so I'll take those hairy chaps any day. although it's usually Alice Cooper so it's all good.
Danny Bowes is a great chap too. (I don’t mind Feltz, if I’m honest. She always strikes me as a reasonably inoffensive individual)
What can you get with an Internet radio that you can’t get from an app like TuneIn linked to a speaker or your TV?
I can never get the live commentary of a qpr game on BBC London on TuneIn. Instead, you either get a loop telling you there is either a fault, or an alternative show. Does anyone listen to Duncan Barkes 10pm - 1am show on BBC London?
Discovered BBC Radio 6 Music. Excellent range of music. Anyone else listen to this? The internet radio was a great investment. Access to an endless choice of stations worldwide. I lost the habit of listening to music years ago and now really enjoying getting back into it. Kids not impressed with my dance moves though.
