In the letter of the law, correct. In the Mouser of the law, no, because the Poool still lost (hence the Mouser pundit meltdown) . The comment about the flow of the game is of note IMHO. It would be interesting to hear from those who witnessed the first days of TMO in rugby. Specifically whether it initially broke the flow of the game *as was claimed yesterday) but the feedback loop got quicker as the officials used it more and more.
The "flow of the game" argument is a crock of horseshit and always was. If a goal is scored, the game is not flowing, it has stopped. If a penalty has been given, the game is not flowing, it has stopped. What the pundits are actually trying to say is that they don't like the possibility of the game being stopped when one of their favourites takes a tumble in the penalty area, and rather than the player dusting themselves off and scoring the resulting penalty instead the incident gets replayed and they pick up a booking for exercising their "right" to fall over in the penalty area despite no contact from anyone on the other team - or as it's commonly known, "being a cheating little ****."
Exactly, It takes less time for the ref to review the VAR than it takes to clear the 'congregation' of Manure, Mouse or Chav players surrounding him demanding injustice. Furthermore, about 50% of the time the VAR ref in London can reach the correct decision in a few seconds and the pitch ref doesn't even have to do a thing. How long before we hear 'why is the VAR ref in London, why not Mouseland or Manchester?'. What is likely to happen is that the weaker refs, who historically were influenced by the crowd at Klanfield, Old Toilet or Stanford Bog, will now get the decisions right, hence resulting in a 'disadvantage' for the home side and fair for everyone else. All we need is an independent time keeper now.
I wonder how much of the delay was caused by the players 'having to have their say'? I think it was over half. Just make it an offence for players to speak to the referee once he indicates that it's going to the VAR. Any player that can't do that gets a yellow card. That would massively speed things up.
Just in a few exchanges here we are seeing the blatant bias of the so-called "pundits" . Wanted to argue the toss about having video review when : 1. The clubs involved are not their darlings 2. When they believed that having it would have resulted in a game ending to the benefit of their darlings. but too thick to have realised the above implicitly means ... 3. The club involved is one of your darlings and a CORRECT decision goes AGAINST them. The review process will get quicker. The decision communication process with the crowd will get better. The "pundit" excuses as to why VAR should now not actually be used, will not.
Yes, but you need to leave the "prem board" **** on the Prem board. I'm avoiding that board for a reason, mate. On this board, I'm not HIlary, or Ballsack, or Quentin, or any of the other bollocks that's spouted on that board, Here, I'm HIAG (or Hoddle Is A God). We play it straight on this board. Discussion Not Insults. That's the law here, mate.
It's not about me, mate. It's about having respect for the everyone on this board. They don't want to witness the **** that goes on, on the Prem board. And I come here in order to get away from all of that. Pixie was banned from this board for not understanding that, and plenty of others have been warned because of it. I'll happily discuss footy with you, here, though.
There's nothing to "get over." I was merely pointing out how things roll, here. Not that you didn't already know. I rather suspect that you and some of the other clowns over on the Prem board are now going to be "daring" one another to come over here and bring the Prem board **** with you. That would be foolish, I suspect. Keep it over there, mate. That isn't asking too much. If you genuinely want to engage us (not just me) in discussion on this board, you are free to do so. Just leave the insults and name-calling at the door.
Relax Being 2pts behind us has really got to you mate lets keep it football in here yeah I wouldnt want you goading me into getting a ban would i Not that that's your intention of course mate.
I am relaxed! You're not rattling me, Mr Sucky! Don't force me to do my dance, mate! My hips are buggered with the amount of thrusting I've already done.
You must be exhausted with all this thrusting and dodging recently Never nice to go out of a cup obviously but in hindsight it could work in our favour with the added replay for you lot, who were also shocking I hear. (i missed both games yesterday) Gonna be an exciting few weeks ahead
It wasn't our best display, that's for sure. Poch graciously made no excuses for the state and size of the pitch, but I think neither he nor the team set themselves up to play on it. If they did, then our performance was even more shocking. I have absolutely no doubts that we'll sweep them aside with ease on the Wembley turf. Lessons do, however, need to be learned.
