every time his team misfired he goes quiet on the sideline. I'm not impressed

I noticed pre match on Monday that he appeared to have lost some of his spark, and there was no difference last night. He looked really flat and dare I say somewhat unwell.

Moved house yesterday so only just got round to watching the highlights.

I hope that everyone who thought that VvD would help us defend better is now having a reality check.

Wide open. High press, high risk. We'll be out of the CL pretty quickly if we play like this. My old pub team manager used to tell me that if I can't get back, don't get forward. Pretty simple really...

Perhaps the week in Dubai was just a massive jolly :bandit:

Embarrassing performance - two defeats against the worst two teams in the league.

Matip is a joke - bring Klavan back. The defending was poor but the biggest blame lies with our midfield.

And I have no words for our midfield. It was pathetic. Can had probably his worst game for us, Ox is a workhorse and Gini offers absolutely nothing on the ball.

This performance wasn’t to do with Coutinho leaving but Klopp is the one who wanted to get rid of him this window without having a replacement lined up. At Dortmund, the DOF (Zorc) was able to bring in players and overrule Klopp. We need that kind of structure at Liverpool because Klopp’s reluctance to strengthen immediately and rather wait for the next window could cost us. It almost cost us last season as well.

It is a bit knee jerk but We should have been pushing for 2nd Place this year and have a good run in CL. Now, I’m slightly concerned about making top 4.

Last January the wheels fell off in a spectacular fashion. If it happens this year, we'll be lucky to get 6th tbh.

Refs should be constantly reviewing and discussing prior decisions with each other, weekly ideally, but at least every month. Almost like how law follows precedent. If a ref gave handball for a ball popping up in the air from 1yard away and he has no time to react, other refs when reviewing that decision should either call it as being an incorrect call, or back him up and all go with that decision. Right now, they all seem to be able to do what they like as long as it's their interpretation of the rules because, as pundits say, that's "part of football" or, "that's what makes football football" (load of ****)

Tagging on to the VAR discussion chaps I can't get one thought out of my head. "How will Jose manipulate this to further harm the beautiful game".

It's all going tits up and there's bugger all we can do about it. My worry is if the wheels come off again Salah, Mane and Bobby could be tempted elsewhere, then we really will be in **** street.

As for VVD he can't be expected to do it all himself with donkeys like Moreno playing with him. Just don't get me started on ****in Mignolet, either!

Klopp has messed with Mignolet's head so that he's no confidence. It has put a lot of pressure on Karius too and has destabilised the whole team.

Mignolet's confidence as you call it has been lacking since Rodgers was manager, so no, not buying that, sorry

Quite likely true in which case he should have been replaced a long time ago. This rotating of goalkeepers hasn't done anybody any favours and weakened an area that was already weak. Danny Ward must be wondering if he has any future.

Mane would be the concern.

He looks to have his head in Spain already.

Regarding VAR - the correct decisions were made and it certainly made it more exciting. But it shouldn’t take that long to make the decision.

I would love someone to time both.var and the West Brom injuries and tell us if 4 mins was half the actual time awarded as extra.

We got beat by the better team on the night whether or not VAR helped or not, thing is the FA Cup weekend might have looked slightly different if all ties would have used the system, choosing only one or two games from the whole round unbalances it, another club could go through on a goal similar to WBA's disallowed goal or the opposite might have happened.
If they're going to use it use it for all games on any particular weekend then analyze whether it's a success or not.
