Good to see some prem teams out. But City and Chelsea and Spurs in the replay you'd expect to be in the draw, plus united are already through. Need a kind draw and two big teams to get each other!

 

Why are so keen to get Spurs? It's a guaranteed defeat.

 

You gotta beat the big teams at some point generally to win this.

Getting them in a quarter final where we can demand 11,250 tickets would be class.

No such thing as guaranteed.

 

And Watford!

 

Shameful what's happening to them. They took just under 8000 to MK Dons today which is a brilliant effort so the support is still there.

Hope they're sorted soon. Doubt we'd take that many there anyway.

Ok, say we drew Spurs away in the quarter final and we won. Then we'd have a semi at Wembley. Win that and we'd be going to Wembley AGAIN. That would take away a lot of the prestige of playing final at Wembley if that happened. So not keen at all on drawing Spurs.

Playing league games there cheapens it anyway imo, I just think it would be a brilliant away day when we can get over 11,000 tickets.

Absolutely. Whereas if, say, we drew Spurs in the semi, we would have the same allocation as them, which would take away their advantage of playing at home.

 

I doubt we'd sell out such a big allocation anyway, for a QF.

I reckon we could for a QG that's only up the road... we took half to London for a Championship match so a QF which would likely be reasonably priced I reckon we could shift 10k for.

Yeah they'd have to be because of the contracts... Hate the semi finals at Wembley tbh.

I said last season that if they reach any cup finals or FA semi they'll have a big advantage imo.

 

Yes, as I say, except the opposition would have the same allocation, so it wouldn’t be as good as a proper home game.

It would have to be drawn, surely? Would be farcical otherwise.

 

Ideally I don't want any away tie until the S/F, home advantage is crucial in the cup if you want to progress, hopefully without replays. The big days out can wait until April as far as i'm concerned.
