I thought the only one who had a poor game was Nigel. He could have cost us that game with poor substitutions. That game needed Dawson on and three at the back from 65 minutes. A 2-0 would have helped the team psychologically.
I’m not saying he isn’t a poor footballer, I don’t know why you think I was saying that. My point was he had probably his best game for us, in one of our best performances of the season, and was then dropped for Dicko who clearly wasn’t ready. He had a massive right to be pissed off.
Bloody turncoat. Turning up back on here and posting like nothing happened. You left us when we were proper moaning. You can't come back and pretend you've been moaning like the rest of us. Proper liberty.
Match report imho Marshall. Steady away made a couple of decent saves. I'd say his kicking is better than greegsy. Aina. Great performance had their left mid on toast. Couple of naive errors but had a good day. Hector. Played some good cross field passes. One dodgy touch that nearly cost in the first half. Clark. Strong in the tackle. Woeful passing a ball. Stewart sold him short about four times in the first half from a throw in. Bowen. Coming on leaps and bounds. Astounding. Scored one and set up the other. Should have scored with the open goal tho. Henriksen had a good day. Pleased for him. Great in the air. Stronger in the tackle. I'd let him take free kicks on the edge of the box all the time. Made the goalie make a save. Chapeau. Stewart. Stuck at it but weak in the challenge. Needed to hold onto the ball instead of dropping a teammate in it. Diomande. Should have the benny hill music on every time he touches the ball. At half time an old mate walked by me and said I'm off to shop to get some studs for dios boots... constantly on his arse. He could have made the game safe at half time. Control it and shoot. Goal. Nope... one touch two touch three touch onto his right foot scuffed shot ffs. Irvine. Excellent first half. Wins loads in the air. Gets back and nicks the ball constantly in midfield. Great run and cross for the second goal Dicko. Worked hard. Some nice touches just doesn't hold the ball up enough. Great leap for the goal. Keane. Should have done better with his one chance, but I'm quite excited about him. Please stay injury free. Big lad good touch. Growshitski. He's back. Slick quick and wasteful. He'll be playing against Leeds. Batty. Good to see him get on. Great potential. Though I think he only touched the ball once with a header into touch. Adkins. Bowen should have been off at 70. Crazy. It's looking better
Sorry mate. Yeh had a good game. Strong no nonsense cenner half. Liked it when he got booked and booted the ball away. Had a go with their players. Have him over hector every time.
Let's not forget this was a team who came here wanting. To win. Theybeat us 3-2 in the league fixture. Vastly improved since then Aren't we.
So you’re basically saying that all throughout a season of defensive woes we already had exactly the no-****ery hard **** bastard we all cried out for all along?
Are you saying every other team that came here this season wanted to lose? Who goes somewhere not wanting to win?! Tbf the first Forest game we where sensational for 20 minutes. And whether we are better or not our points per game is still terrible under Adkins.
Think that's a pretty fair assessment , I'm not clarks biggest fan but I like the fact he defends strongly and his weaker side is his attacking play , in an ideal world they could do a bit of both but too many full backs these days are wannabe wingers who can't defend for **** , it was good to see both Clark and Mazuch getting their foot in old school style - Dio was **** , maybe he was unfairly dropped after Bolton , but same could be said for Clark for Kingsley , but he reacts in the proper way and gets his head down for when he gets a chance and doesn't sulk , I agree also about Keane , showed some nice touches , tho that one shot he tamely rolled at the keeper just about sums up 95% of our strikers from past 20 years - most pleasing thing for me today was bodies in the box , Henriksen and Irvine consistently got beyond the centre forward and gave us options
Isn't it obvious. A lot of teams don't take the cup seriously. Forest had 4000 fans behind them and played a strong team. And we were far the better team
