I know he’s back from long term injusry, but Vic was dreadful and looks a shadow of his former self. Hope it’s not a sign of things to come
Shades of Stevenage in 2012: we thought "What the ****?" when seeing the lineup, then found ourselves asking the exact same question at regular intervals for the next ninety minutes. Let's hope the comparisons end there, because Daws getting crocked in the replay went a long way to our end of season implosion that year. The fact our midfield made so little sense as soon as it was announced, yet somehow made even less sense when the match started, the first thought to cross my mind was that we should've kept hold of GKN until deadline day is alarming.
3 shots on target all game. Tells its own story. I am fuming so will limit my comments to a minimum but Poch is severely testing my patience with these bizarre line ups that set us off on the wrong foot and lead to us spending the rest of the game figuring out how to make sense of the mess he has made. Dembele once again shocking. Kills me to say it but he is finished as a player. Wanyama equally poor but understandably rusty. Sissoko needs to be dumped in a river on our way back. Trippier up against a League 2 full back doesn't take him on once. Take away his crossing ability and he is actually one of the worst players to have ever worn a spurs shirt. Llorente....wow. What a disappointment. So excited when he signed him but he has done **** all since and worst still doesn't really look like he gives a damn. Needs to piss off to the States for a nice retirement package somewhere sunny. Glad we're still in the competition but watching that shower of ****e and then looking at the run of fixtures coming up. Wow. Just wow. Season could be over by mid February.
Over to Twitter to find another bunch of people who really need to watch ArsenalFanTV to understand what ****ing idiots they sound like... ...although the fact the second one has a whole eight tweets makes me wonder if they're on the Marca payroll.
Quick poll for the replay: would you want to see the Sissoko-Dier-Wanyama-Dembele midfield four ever again, or would you genuinely feel more secure if we started a couple of youngsters who can actually play in the roles we need them to play in instead?
Truly awful, but we are still in the cup and the one good thing about the replay is that Toby should get a match, Victor and Eric should also be able to continue with their rehab and maybe Rose too. Would like KWP to get the whole match on the right if Rose can play. But truth be told a Wednesday night replay was the last thing we needed between Liverpool at 1600 on Sunday and Arsenal at 1230 on Saturday
As bad as he was, the other three were worse and Llorente made them look like Brazil's midfield of 1970 or '82. If we'd taken any of them, off without bringing anyone on to replace them, it could only have got better. Vorm just lumping it up the pitch would have been more effective
Vorm dribbling up the pitch might have been more effective. Frankly, we'd have been better off with Dier at right back and Tripper on the right wing - although that's more a "It couldn't have been worse" argument than anything else...
Fair play to Vorm. He was solid again and in difficult circumstances his distribution was really assured.
We couldn't do no worse than sign the beast from wycombe wanderers he wins everything in the air and scores goals .a straight swap for llorente anyone
Better player than he is given credit for - seen him a number of times for The Gills and created many goals for his partners and loved by the fans there too.
